GTS means it is a support, not neutral shoe. It should have the same fit as the neutral (non-GTS) version of the shoe but has the added Guiderails technology.
The official Brooks site makes no mention of "Go To Shoe" on its own definition...
You can always use your phone, after all if it's not on Strava, did it really happen?! ??? Some of the Strava runs I've seen from a phone are incredible, a 5km jog gets turned into an ultra marathon with world records being set across many segments
knocky1 I have a 19:30 (70.51%) from 8th January to put a marker on the board for this season.
Set myself a rather lofty goal of going sub-18 this season. I really need to find a way to up the mileage massively if that's to happen.
Wanted to put a quick time on the board this week, but oh my...
I’m a bit confused by them. Less foam, no carbon, only partial plate. They lose a tiny bit of weight and become more stable. But overall I can’t see how they won’t just be slower than Vaporfly or Alphafly, no matter the distance?!
Set my quickest time of the year today () with a 19:30 at my second closest parkrun. They were using their B route which is almost all tarmac, however the course is about 150m long to try to prevent records being set on it, so Strava has it down as a 18:57 5k and all time PB.
As an...
I'm in the 40-49 group and 6 months after my second jab would be mid-December.
However, I tested positive last week thanks to outbreak at the kids nursery. Therefore, should I treat getting COVID as my booster and wait another 6 months?
Word of warning, if you come across the 2021 movie 'Dune World' that's not the film everyone is talking about. Started watching it and very realised it was a movie that cost about $100 to make, I lasted about 30 seconds.
My running watch (Garmin 920XT, so tri watch actually) started to play up (rebooting mid-run a few times), so I'd been on the lookout for a new one. After reading some reviews I decided upon the Coros Pace 2 and setup a price alert, and today it went off as it's dipped under £160 on Amazon...
Only problem is I find more bargains than I actually run
I got the tracking email so hopefully it's too late for them to correct if it was an error!
I ordered a pair of SAUCONY ENDORPHIN SPEED 2 for £108 (rrp £155) yesterday as seemed a very decent price: https://www.runningxpert.com/en/saucony-men-s-endorphin-speed-2.html
Heard a lot of good things about them and the Kinvara used to be my go to before the Nike’s so am keen to give them a go.
I cringe at my marathon time, given what I can do 5k in, I should be able to do much better
It won't help with a marathon at all, but starting next week I'm going to start going to track sessions with the local athletics club. Will try and focus on HM and below over the next year. If...
Outstanding run Artie Fufkin !
I was there and took a few minutes off my PB, finishing in 3:39:23 . I was aiming for 3:30, but was under trained and had a rather slow and painful last 12km. That said, it was an amazing day. The organization on the day and size of the crowds were unreal. As...
Table update for me too, a new PB of 19:18 and 71.24%
Chuffed with that, as for years my PB here (Lydiard, Swindon) had sat at 19:40. We're using a 'temporary' course which gives much more room at the start & finish, but means there is now almost 1km of lumpy grass, which definitely makes it a...
Albion shirt spotted at Lydiard (Swindon) parkrun.
I did it in 20:25 a couple of weeks ago (in Zoom Fly 3s) and today went round in about 19:55 in NEXT%. Not sure I I can put it down entirely to the shoes as average (& max) HR was up a few beats. We have a temporary course with a grass section...
Those prices seem almost too good to be true, are they definitely 100% legit?
I'm currently nursing my Nike super shoes for races, but at those prices I'd start to train with them!
Thanks. I found a site (that was a few years old) that listed Hove Prom as a pretty quick one (in top 20 for the country). So had half a mind to go there, but then I stayed up and watched the triathlon relay last night, so treated mysellf to a lie in and a 10 min walk to the start instead.
That...
My local parkrun was cancelled this week, so it was rather handy to have planned a trip to see my parents who live a short walk from Preston Park.
I have spent this morning nervously refreshing the results page, checking texts and emails as according to my watch I’d set a new PB by a second...
