OK, sorry I read that as advice to never use them. I think the phrase ''everything in moderation' is pretty appropriate to most swimming aids and drills.
One of the issues with swimming is that there are sooooo many parts of the stroke to work on that you can end up overwhelmed, which is why...
I think there is an argument to use pull buoys which would include:
It'll allow you to focus on other parts of your stroke, e.g. still head, hand entry into the water, catch, pull, etc.
It'll get you used to the correct position.
If you're cramping then it might allow you to continue to swim...
I used to have a 3 bedroom 3 story town house (using 3 stories seems to be pretty popular for new builds to maximise the value the builder gets from the plot) which I bought new 8 years ago. There was a toilet on each floor plus an en-suite toilet. So 4 toilets for a 3 bedroom house.
I've recently moved into a house that was built in around 1992. We've had some work done on the fireplace which gave me a chance to see the wall cavity. I've attached a photo below, which shows that a sheet of polystyrene has been used, the sheet fills about 1/3 of the gap. So I have two...
Bad Ash: 1 - Brighton 2016
Did Brighton this year and giving it a another bash. Have barely run since April, but am doing a half (Swindon) in a couple of weeks, hopefully that'll kick start the training.
Haha. To clarify, the budget got thrown out of the window and I've ordered pretty much everything. The parts started to arrive on Friday, which so far includes the frame (and fork), the wheels (skimped a little here, compared to rest of the build, on some Kinesis Crosslite CX disc) and the...
You may or may not remember that probably this time last year I was asking for advice on a CX bike, I was basically after something that was carbon, had disc brakes and had mudguard eyelets. Well fast forward 12 months and I've ended up buying a frame and the components.
For the frame I've gone...
I'm pretty sure when anyone talks about 'adding value' it's in reference to the house value increasing more than they spent on the improvements.
I would suggest you don't take up property development with your definition of it!
To try and drag this back on on topic. I'm getting some new radiators, is there any reasons not to replace them all with double panels. We've only recently moved in so I don't know what the existing single panel ones are like, but I can't see a reason not to go for them other than initial cost...
I've got hydraulic disc brakes on my mountain bike and have found them pretty awkward to setup. The clearance between the pads and the disc is minimal, so the slightest discrepancy in the disc will result in rubbing. I once accidentally applied the brake while I didn't have the wheel in which...
The folks at bikeradar say the high limter isn't letting it move out far enough. I can understand having your lower limiter to low would cause it to come off on the inside and having the high limter too high would cause it to fall off the outside, but couldn't work out why it was falling off in...
