In Pat Saward's season we won 5-3 at Shrewsbury, and I seem to recall all or most of the goals came in the first half. Surely someone on here was there? Sadly I wasn't.

This is the real point. If we lose another defender we are in trouble with no cover. Karbo is untried and seemingly is really a midfielder. Alzate is a midfielder. We have no more defensive replacements, other than the U-23s, most of whom are also out on loan. It must be a huge worry to the club.

Very disappointing of course. But we were playing the second in the league team and would probably have drawn but for a howler by our normally dependable goalie. After the way we played first half, there's every reason to think we can pick up some results soon. Especially if Lallana stays fit.
