As an aside: can you put the plastic tubs in the recycling? There are mixed messages on this, some say you can, some say you can't. Anyone know what the rules are in Brighton?
Yes, a great film made by one of our own. Watch it!
As an aside we saw it in The Depot, Lewes. I'd never heard of the place and I was expecting a draughty church-hall style venue with manky second-hand seats, instead it's a fantastic place next to Lewes station. Very modern, lovely plush...
Agreed. Also if/when he does go I hope it's either retirement or he goes to the FA or PL as Supreme Chief, i.e. they just let him run the organisation as he sees fit. Or an MP. I think I'd be tempted to vote for him regardless of the colour of his rosette.
Anyway, enough of this brown-nosing...
This is a bit O/T but I see Trump has named Susie Wiles as his Chief of Staff. Those of us who are long-time followers of the NFL know her as the daughter of the legendary commentator Pat Summerall. Along with John Madden he formed THE best commentary duo of any sport of any era from any nation...
I too thought your original comment was a bit out of order, but I appreciate you were making an observation rather than actually calling for his assassination. A bit of a crass one maybe seeing as he is a democratically-elected leader, but ok, I let it go without comment. However, yes, you're...
If the vote for standing is 'No' I wonder if they'll do that? After all it IS the rule/law/regulation, and if it's a 'No' vote they could say, "Well the fans have spoken, they don't want official standing, so you troublemakers sit down or else."
But as @Tom Hark Preston Park pointed out it's only the de facto rule. Technically, you're not allowed to stand in the North Stand as it's a designated seating area. Both you and the club could be punished. Also I'm pretty sure there are a few NS inhabitants who would like to see the rules...
Yes I agree. My advice to any youngster thinking of going into something like software development is - don't. Or certainly don't think it will be like it is today. Instead go into something practical like building, plumbing, farming, etc. Those jobs aren't going to be replaced by AI any time...
Yeah, I don't think it will completely replace the Software Developer, in the same as with word processing and the desktop computers you still needed people to actually type documents - but it will change. You've listed some of the things it can't currently do, but for how much longer...
I'm a software developer and I certainly think AI will fundamentally alter my job. In the not-too-distant future the traditional software development team with a load of guys cutting code will go the way of the typing pool.
One of my more embarrassing episodes was at Brighton station about 25 years ago. I saw someone I thought I recognised, definitely he had a familiar face. I stared at him and he looked back at me, and I thought he looked like one of the other dads from my son's football team, so I thought I'd...
Never done it, for the simple reason that I am really really, and I mean really bad at recognising people - so I never have to avoid anyone as I don't know who I'm seeing. People do think I'm extremely rude though, people are always saying to my wife "I saw your husband the other day and he...
Morning everybody, well this isn't what I wanted to wake up to :(
So George Bernard Shaw was right: "The 100% American is 99% idiot".
If I can draw a crumb of comfort, at least it looks like it won't be close so there won't be the post-election violence we saw last time. I appreciate that's...
Yes, I'm the same. I absolutely loved it, and if they bring it back and it's the same as it was before - great. But I have a nasty feeling that they took it as far as they could and any new series would be derivative and/or unbelievable.
