In the same way most people can pass on £1m tax free before IHT, Farmers have special dispensation whereby they can pass on £3M before tax. And, on the remainder, instead of paying 40% tax, they have a special dispensation whereby they only pay 20% tax. So, on £5M it would be approx £400,000...
I remember a good few years ago, towards the end of the season being in a restaurant on the slopes in Italy. It was just under Mont Blanc so I'm guessing La Thuile.
We were having lunch and it was their last day of the season so after lunch the shots were flowing somewhat generously. Me, Mrs Wz...
Never done the Xmas market thing, but for the last 40 years, I'll happily sit in a ski cafe/restaurant at about 11/12 each morning or 2/3 in the afternoon, drinking a Glühwein, Vin Chaud, Vin brulé, Glögg, Forralt bor, etc etc (same drink, bloody europeans !) and really enjoy it.

My family are big boxing fans, have been all over the world to see, and have a couple of good amateurs amongst our ranks. But a 58 year old up against a 27 year old is so wrong, on so many levels.
It's nothing to do with boxing, it's not even a fight, it's a victorian freak show ???
As reasons to completely destroy your economy and power within the 21st century world order, it's one of the best I've heard.
(Sorry, that wasn't a compliment  )
