I got a selfie with RDZ at the end of last year. He was working out at the same gym as me. Unbelievably, this is the cheap as chips ‘The Gym’ on London Road.
Why he felt the need to go there, considering the facilities available to him elsewhere, is a mystery.
Eight of us went in a stretch limo. Not because this is how we roll, but because we worked out that it would be substantially cheaper than the train.
An absolutely brilliant day from start to finish. Loved it.
Some people did shout abuse at GM when he was injured, yes.
Many, many more showed him the respect he deserved, and clapped him off. Me amongst them.
I was really pleased when GM came back, and I don't remember any antagonism towards him. I would NOT be happy to see Potter back. At all.
Big Special were also my festival highlight - just bloody brilliant.
We saw Kneecap twice, and they were also superb.
But we saw so much good stuff. It blows me away how much young talent we have in this country.
I’ll also be arriving on Monday and starting the week in a similar vein. I have three shifts to work on Friday , Saturday and Sunday, one morning (7 till 1), one afternoon (12 till 6) and one evening 7 till whenever.
I don’t know which days have each shift yet, so am not making any schedule…...
The Haringey fans were great and sang throughout. Several unique songs , the one you mention plus ‘Hurry Up Harry’ renamed ‘Haringey Borough’, and ‘Get off of my cloud’ rejigged for their player Mick McCloud.
A very friendly and welcoming club. Their fans expected them to be heavily defeated...
I went to Lewes’ final game up in Haringey with @Hamilton and Pogue Junior, who lives in north London and goes to Haringey Borough with mates quite often.
4-0 to Lewes and it could have been many more. Haringey were unbelievably bad.
They are Felix and Hugo White from The Maccabees and their brother Jamie, along with a drummer. I’ve seen them twice - not earth-shatteringly brilliant, but they’re good performers and put on a good show. I am going to this.
