Not yet but for reasons I gave earlier
- labour putting resources into winning seats rather than stacking votes up where Not needed
- 7 parties getting over 2 % of the vote (5 on projection getting more than 10 seats)
- reform fighting 611 seats rather than brexit in 300 last tine
-...
As I put on another thread, there are 7 major parties likely to get more than 1.5m votes (and 4 way in excess of that) that will mean of any party got near 40% they're smashing it
2001 had a turnout of 59% (increased to 61% in 2005).
With the voter suppression (sorry ID) legislation this may see an even lower one this time. Interestingly labour voters historically vote later (it's a factor in assessing the exit polls)

Yep - also 1951 labour got c230k more votes than conservatives (13.95m to 13.72m) and lost so c1% difference in votes but 30 seats less. Liberals came a distant third with 6 seats with 2.5% of the votes
I don't disagree. Only Blair in 1997 won the most votes for a party in all age demographics too. I think the last 50+1 was pre 1918 so over 100yrs old. This is certainly the most diverse vote share with 5 national parties likely to get more than 1.5m votes and 2 regional ones doing well in their...

So he went to uni and became a campaigner for labour. He then left and became a political lobbyist for energy companies (ironically working on gaining govt support for moving to carbon neutral). He has also lobbied for some gambling companies.
He went back to labour to become a campaign...
As a member of the party it would be wrong for me to say anything on this.
As a complete aside, politics home reported that the complaint actually came from a hard left ex party member who fell out with lrm and lodged it at a time that meant it couldn't be concluded before naming candidates...
That's my point exactly. He may well be a central office appointee but at least they picked someone with a connection to the seat he is standing in.
It's a fact that owen jones and the other rentamob ex momentum national student politics types seemed to ignore
He was born and raised in peacehaven. Is an albion season ticket holder and his family now live in Southwick
Yes he wasn't a local party member and he has worked for starmer directly but parachuted in is doing a lot of heavy lifting especially as every other candidate in the same seat has even...
