[Albion] Facundo Buonanotte **On Loan To Leicester 10/08/24**

This is a much better outcome than the Feyernoord loan with cheap buy option. Hopefully he gets plenty of minutes and really shines. There's an excellent player in there, he just needs a bit of time to put it all together. When/if he does he'll be a cracking player.

I was going to post the same song. Wasn't a fan of the vocals on first listen but by the third I'm all in! Great song, great band.

[NSC] QPR Friendly away 3 August

My big takeaway was that I should never watch pre-season friendlies. I know what they're for, I know we have a load of players missing and I know that you shouldn't read anything into them. But they're available to watch so I end up watching them and despite knowing the above I still end up...

    [Albion] Ferdi Kadioglu **Singed 27/08/24**

As far as I'm aware he's NEVER got an Albion transfer rumour wrong.
  5. Garry Nelson's Left Foot

[Albion] Facundo Buonanotte **On Loan To Leicester 10/08/24**

The buy clause disappoints me. Going on loan is fine but the buy clause suggests that he's not high in our plans and that's a surprise. While it's true he's not had too many complete games, he's still only 19 and nearly every time he plays he does something to highlight his quality. In...

    [Albion] Team for Everton (a)

In the game against Tokyo Verdy the first half was fairly orthodox. A 4-4-2 that segued into 244 or 424 depending on the situation. The second half was more maverick. I couldn't work out who was playing where or what they were supposed to be doing(apart from thr back 4, I had a fairly solid...

    [Albion] Team for Everton (a)

I didn't see the 343 or 3421 that everyone is talking about in the Japan games. So, without knowing what formation we're going to be playing it's kind if difficult to predict the line up!

[Albion] Napoli interested in Billy Gilmour **Sold 30/08/24**

Just to clarify: If it's 12m plus add ons does that count as 12m or more? What if the add ons aren't reached? Likewise what if it's say 10m plus an extra 3 with add ons? It's best to sort these issues now so there's no ambiguity.

    [Albion] Hürzeler’s (Brighton) Tactics

Yes, I'm sure it'll be fine come the start of the season, or at least once we've got the tough start out of the way. It was just a bit disconcerting seeing how poor we looked and I had to keep reminding myself that it was a) a friendly, b)a lot of those players won't be match day regulars or...

    [Albion] Hürzeler’s (Brighton) Tactics

I'm not sure they'll need to. Tokyo Verdy were walking through us at will at times in the second half and always seemed to have a man spare, especially out wide. I'll caveat that with it was just a friendly and of the 10 second half outfield players I'm not sure more than three or four will...

    [Other Sport] F1 2024

I enjoyed that. It looks like we're going to have a thoroughly exciting second half of the season. Max will win the title fairly comfortably but on a race by race basis we're going to have some crackers hopefully.

    [Albion] Hürzeler’s (Brighton) Tactics

Interesting. As best as I could tell, in the second half we had three at the back in possession - Webster, Weir and Offiah. First half Van Hecke and Veltman stayed back in possession with Barco and Moran pushing into midfield.

    [Albion] Hürzeler’s (Brighton) Tactics

I went to the game today. First half it looked very much like we were playing in blocks of 2 and 4. Depending on the situation we were set up as 4-4-2, 4-2-4 or 2-4-4. Second half, no idea, I couldn't work anything out beyond in possession we had 3 at the back.

    [Albion] Japan pre season

Off the top of my head Barcelona, real Madrid, dortmund, juventus and Liverpool all have schools out here. Celtics do, or did, a series of seasonal camps. There might be others too but I can't think of them. I think if we did seasonal camps like Celtics it would really help grow any...

    [Albion] Japan pre season

I'm not surprised. Even the weakest kids at grassroots level have decent technique and the best one's are unbelievable. Once they combine that with, for want of a better descriptor, game knowledge they're going to be a real force. Especially as football is becoming more and more system based...

    [Albion] Japan pre season

I'd love that. There are a number of European clubs who have football schools out here. My dream is that one day we have a big enough presence here that we can have our own. Having regular Japanese representation in our squads would go a long way to achieving that. It's done Celtic no harm at...

They do in maths. At least that's the only explanation I can give for passing my maths A level despite getting every question wrong!
