    [Politics] The Labour Government

Fine, and thanks for taking my initial response the right way: I wasn't meaning to make an example of you, merely as an illustration of a wider development. There are some really interesting contributions but they can get lost amongst a lot of activity. As just one example, @Bry Nylon shared...

    [Politics] The Labour Government

That's fine and you should be provided with the space aka a thread to do so. I just find that posters can provide useful information and interpretations on political developments, and would rather not have to trawl through a volume of posts from those that are quite clearly anti-Labour. I do...

    [Politics] The Labour Government

This is illustrative of my point. @nevergoagain has been on here for about 20 years, yet there wasn't a peep about Johnson redecorating Downing St, and how that was funded.

    [Politics] The Labour Government

I'd rather they were kept separate. The meltdown one has become busy and extremely boring. There's very little information in there, eg the recent post from @nicko31 about Lammy and CC/terrorism. There's plenty of comments on there that are being very critical of everything and anything from...

    [Politics] Labour Party meltdown incoming.......

You don't seem to like workers getting deals that begin to claw back the huge sums they've lost over the past 14 years. Unless you've got private medical insurance, you might find that you're increasingly dependent on junior doctors, who are leaving for better deals elsewhere.

[TV] What's good to watch on BBC iPlayer ?

Looks like no-one has mentioned the new series of Sherwood. It's excellent and very tense, not quite as good as series one, but that was extraordinary. We've still got the final episode to go, so no spoilers please.

[Food] How fussy are you with food ?

Rhubarb is delightful, but with you on the way with 'snips'. Hugely overrated, especially at Christmas time. Swede I can very much live without too, but everything else -- if cooked well -- is worth a go.

I prefer the latter but there is 16 pages worth of suggestions in this thread.

[Albion] Team for Wolves - 18.09.24 League Cup

Steele Lamtey Webster Igor Pervis Wieffer Kadioglu Moder Enciso Adingra Ferguson Gruda to come on after 45/60 minutes if possible. Need to go strong with the bench too.

    [Football] Kalvin Phillips

I'm not so sure that being destroyed by Baleba is a sign that said destroyed player isn't up to much. Baleba will do this to most CMs he comes up against.

They are. They're in a bad mood because we didn't pick up three home points against a promoted side.

[Albion] Player ratings vs Ipswich (h)

Bart 7 -- good distribution Veltman 7 -- so solid this season, nicked the ball impressively several times JPvH 7 -- kept things tight, good on the ball Dunk 6 -- generally solid Hinshelwood 6 -- intelligent positioning and use of the ball Baleba 8.5 MotM -- outrageous talent Ayari 7 -- kept...

[Politics] Would YOU be happy to pay more income tax so OAPs could keep their fuel payments?

The British public have long been keen on either keeping spending levels as they are or, increasing public spending/taxation as is increasingly the case. What they're not keen on is lower taxes which also means lower public spending. See...

[Albion] Brighton & Hove Albion vs Ipswich Town *** Official Match Thread ***

Nor Dunk, nor JPvH, nor Veltman, nor Bart. I could go on.

Yes, apparently they play really intensively for periods and can dominate possession and chances but can't maintain that throughout the game.

Can't recall Sam Barrott. Anyone know whether he's refereed any of our previous games. Might be one for @Eeyore, but might be busy on another thread.

Thanks for sharing. Really interesting: it gives a new angle into how things evolve over the rest of the year.

The statement is correct, however. It's about a category. You're right to point out the huge variation within the category, but the statement that the over-65s are the wealthiest is correct. I've said what I have to on WFP, yet I still don't think it's as cruel a policy as the two-child benefit...
