Well, my boy makes the pair of us predict the outcome and the scorers. I went for three-all, with Minteh, Mitoma and Welbeck. You can guess what he went for. He's very good at it, and it leaves me in a bit of a dilemma: I don't want to encourage him to take up gambling; but ...
Yes, agree with this, especially your point about being more comfortable with the ball than without. On several occasions, he travelled considerable distance to win a 50:50 and lost out, and rather than going all out to win the ball I think he'd have been better served to close down the space...
I think the big question with him is where he plays. I know most insist his best position is as a 10 but we've got a few that play there so there's the question of game time, although he'll certainly get some of it there. I still think that he'll sit very well a little deeper in a 8.
So, in a couple of posts, we've got two posts from mods. One describes this as astonishing hypocrisy , and you've gone with it being an "utterly ridiculous appointment".
I'm aware you can only speak for yourself, but surely the appointment made perfect sense: she was a civil servant who...
I'm the same on Wieffer, and can see why we bought him, he's very calm on the ball, can see where he wants to move the ball to and can manoeuvre into position to do so, and is very good at sensing danger and snuffing out counter-attacks. That said, he really hasn't caught up with the pace of the...
It is poor PR by the Tories but it's relatively trivial compared to the PR by Labour, which I've been somewhat astonished by in the past month or two. The WFP was so poorly handled, and they've hardly been on the front foot about freebies, and have squandered considerable post-election good...
Yes, I'm with you on this. We did try and buy Boscagli, but it didn't happen. I like the fact that the club don't just go for the next option if they lose out on a player and think we've got enough cover at CB. As has been pointed out, it's likely that we'll get at least one CB in the summer...
I hate Villa, but they're damned good under Emery. I preferred the Gerrard version. They just make total sense. There's a case to be made that they've got the two best out-and-out strikers in club football. I thought they might feel the loss of Luiz, but their CMs have stepped in. And then...
