Away game take up is primarily driven by how well the team is playing. Not so much for future potential benefits but more for the enjoyment of the here and now.
I have had a small number of people who say (rather beligerently) they don't use the bbc. But then reference listening to 5live, or a podcast, or bbc iplayer.
That's their choice if they really don't use it. In which case they don't need to pay. No need for a licence. In which case they have...
They make between 70k and 200k a year. The 1k per match is on top of that so they can earn (if they do a game and then var /4th official per weekend) c120k to 240k per year as well as expenses (and free food which don't forget they complain about)
He reffed our cup tie v Liverpool 2 seasons ago. The one where 2 Liverpool players could have been sent off for fouls (the one on ferguson being clear and obvious).
Clearly he was intimidated by Klopp
To be fair I would rather have a panel of Lenny Peters, Chris Macausland and Stevie Wonder viewing the validity of that video than let the pgmol tech experts consider my fate
Seriously though , the issue here isn't what he thinks, it's that he has said it out loud. Knows he shouldn't and could have been open to bribery etc.
There is also the issue of when this was filmed and why it's out now.
It's right to be investigated
I've reffed and my son is now a ref. There are some right dick heads out there in football. Sadly many in youth football. The bunch of amateurs and Dorking fc videos don't help
He reffed us away at Liverpool last season. As I recall he seem a homer (I know, at anfield, can you believe it). Also reffed this seasons game of us v spurs
I would also like to point out that the trains caused us to lose against Liverpool in the cup.
Given midweek train service I didn't fancy dragging my youngest through the crowds so bought a car parking space. Hence I couldn't drink my 4.5pints of harveys pre game. It's been a lucky amount...
Next 7 games could be anywhere between 18 and 7 points. My own guess is 14 which would see us on 33 points from 18 games so on par for 68 points for the season
Which only once has seen a team outside of the top 6 in the last 10 years
Rolling stock are leased. At the govts request, 2 main types were scrapped in 2021 so as to reduce the cost of maintenance.
The 3 car units with no toilets have all gone. The old thameslink units are gone too.
@jackalbion is accurate in what he writes
There are 3 main rolling stock...
But pre covid it wasn't as bad as it is now. TOCs all reduced rolling stock to reduce costs.
They have also alienated their staff to such a a degree they don't work as many voluntary shifts as before.
It has worked and can be made to work again but needs collaboration (and money)
