I think the Intertoto Cup is a good shout for a pointless European Competition, although surely it has been reinvented already as the Euro Conference League?

So at least 7 have to be sold or go on loan before we can bring anyone over 21 into the squad, but ar the moment have more than enough Home grown players It will be interesting to see how many of those 31 are still here at the end of August.

This. Some people are spouting utter nonsense about him downing tools. He has not been as consistently good as last season, that is true, but he has had injuries and other issues to deal with. People don't say it about other players if they have the odd off game.

Which is of course what we did last time we had our best ever finish in the top flight (1982). However, I am confident that won't happen this time.

I think the issue is that in the 1960s defenders in England's top division came up against players as good as Best... well once a season. Today's PL defenders are having to cope with attackers not as good as Best, but considerably better than the 60s and 70s equivalents every game.

I know it is wishful thinking at the moment, but as others have said in this thread, it took Biss a couple of seasons to get up to Premier League standard. Moises has done in a couple of months. If he plays that well next season, we won't miss Biss as much, if and when he goes.
