We have the richest league in the world, with money to burn. The PL should be insisting all clubs instal state of the art AI assisted camera systems all around the pitch that can check more accurately whether balls are out of play, offside lines etc.
Also, I would quite like to see a computer...
In fairness, if they had been playing "I wish it could be Christmas everyday" then fair enough, play it any day you like. For everything else, leave it at least until December starts.
It's very odd. Presumably you are timing your trip to allow for hold ups on the motorway anyway and planning to get there an hour early for warmups etc. Therefore even taking a wrong turn on the motorway doesn't stop you from getting down to Brighton to start the game, even if you are a little...
But at the moment the system is still subjective. The VAR (who is a person or group of people) decide when to pause the action (subjective, as there are freeze frames showing ball may have already been kicked by Gross yesterday) and where to draw the various lines (what part of Dunk to choose?)...
What I don't understand is why VAR couldn't say to the ref, "go to the monitor and check the foul, we will look at whether the ball was out or offside".
I do think the system would work better,if the control of the system was in the hands of the ref. E.g the ref should be able to say, I think...
He disappeared from the squad training pics before Ajax this week. I hope that isn't bad news. Then I wondered if he might be training with U21s to help prepare for some game time with them.
