I thought Billy had another good controlling game again today.
There was one incredible reverse pass in the second half as part of a move which unfortunately came to nothing. Can't find it yet on SM but hopefully someone posts it
Calling @pasty @Frutos @JJ McClure @Bedsex @The Oldman @Colonel Mustard @The Brighton Bear
I am just checking how you would like the QF draw to be done as I have not specified.
I was planning 2 legged ties (but No Away Goals Rule)
In the past we have done the traditional model 1st A v 2nd B...
Comparing the averages of players from this time last year to today, definitely yes. Everyone who was posting then and is still posting has improved. And you are the most improved over the past year! Of course that

Spring Cup averages
As players have commented on their averages, just to note some impressive averages all round (as shown in the table above), particularly in Group C (highest average 3.38). We are definitely getting better at this
Also to note @Dinner with Gotsmanov and @Bakero averaged 3.0...
I am not going to disagree with you that there was an element of accidental recovery, i.e. the forced devaluation brought a number of fortuitous benefits, and the Tories were seen as a totally spent force with no ideas. The damage from the recession in 1990 then the calamity of Black Wednesday...

Ironically, 1997 was the best ever year for economic growth under Blair/Brown Labour and most of that was down the policies put in place by Major in the year...
We are normally good with the "reaction" after an unfortunate result. I think we can get the points easily today, providing we don't shoot ourselves in the foot.
We may need to be patient, but their defence ain't good enough to stop us if we play the way we can.
I should have added, there is a scenario where in Group C where @Guinness Boy and @Colonel Mustard end up with identical records and need to play again to decide who goes through. However, it would take a 4v6 win for GB and a 2v3 loss for CM to lead to an exact tie (or a more unlikely 3v5 and...
Agree on Monday night club. Sutton's role is very different, and he plays up to the gentle ribbing given to him. It is also a considerably more insightful programme than 606. Savage has absolutely no subtly, a bit like his football playing.
