With all the shit going on in the world at the moment (thanks Trump and Vance, you ****s), a big win at the weekend (especially in the manner we won today) is so so sweet - and then being able to look forward to end the day with MOTD

Not the best, to be honest. They were better slightly in the first half, we were better slightly in the second. But it was a tight, scrappy game, both teams either congested in the middle or trying to break the lines with direct balls over the top.
Two poor goals in the first half, we blocked them off on a freekick for Van Hecke’s goal, straight from the training ground, but their defending was awful. For theirs Iwobi just ran from in his own half down the line, Ayari couldn’t keep up or get close, and swung in a cross. Van Hecke misjudged the flight and Jimenez brought it down nicely and finished from close range.
Second half a bit more sprightly but not much, Welbeck with a shocking miss off the bench with his head, then the penalty won it.
To be honest, we’ve been much better in the last few games and I think we’d have lost both games playing at this tempo and intensity.
Have to say we nicked one today while not playing anywhere near our best. All of our luck is coming at once

Overall I think we shaded both halves. Many Albion positives. Imho Estupinan was caught wrong side of Iwobi countless times, Iwobi a constant menace because of that. A beautiful finale, I’d say the stadium was almost full to witness it.

Took me over 6 hours to get home tonight, but you could double that and I'd still have a huge grin on my face.

Nice of us to have 5-6 minutes on MOTD with Lineker making his usual cock-up by saying we were playing at Fulham. If I were BBC management I would save some money and show him the door. He is so loveable of course it will not happen.
