I'm such an idiot. Just popped on Sky Sports Football. Saw Millwall were playing and watched as Connelly won another penalty and missed another one. Couldn't believe he had done it again. Turns out they are showing highlights of Luton v Millwall from the weekend and I was on the wrong channel. Moron 😄

It’s pretty ludicrous that he’s reportedly paid £20k per week. Much of that down to the halo-effect of his premier league experience.

He must have a knock, it’s the only reason I can think they wouldn’t throw him on chasing an equaliser. Was he cup tied at the weekend? Because he wasn’t in the squad for that one

I still maintain, if he wants to have a career, finding a club lower down the pyramid where he can settle for a long time, play and score regularly and maybe become a fans favourite will be better. This won’t make his agent money though, so pointless temporary loans it is.

Sadly reminds me of a Mr Leon Knight, of this parish 20 years ago, who also started his career with style and was tipped for great things, but who soon went off the rails - perhaps believing the hype about him - and revealed himself to be an arrogant gobby Dickhead and wannabe gangsta, who became a mere journeyman, playing for ever smaller clubs as he descended down the league, and then outside it,, and still repeatedly having his contracts terminated due to his appalling attitude and behaviour.

Now confined to spouting homophobic and misogynistic 'bantz' on YouTube.

A potentially great footballing career spaffed away by arrogance, ego, petulance, sycophancy, and a self-destructive personality. To say he had a serious attitude problem would be a massive understatement!
