What an absolute f***ing muppet for that 5th penalty. He's taken one and missed one this year. It's a pressure penalty - don't weakly pass/side foot it to that side. Hit it hard and true. Pathetic.

That said, the players will be up for Forest. I will be. Flukey Forest with two penalty wins.
Don’t forget they did scrape past Luton at home as well in R3

That is a shit rule.

At the start of a match, they toss once. The winner gets to choose whether to start with the ball, or which end to start at, and the loser gets to choose the other, right? They should do the same with penalties.
Absolutely, kick off and which end are tiny advantages., in the scheme of a 90 minute match.

Who goes first and which end the shootout happens at are massive advantages.
Why should one team have the chance of double advantage?

Mental.

Third in the Premier League - toughest side we could have drawn. At least it's at the Amex but so tight as to who goes through to the semi-finals.
I dont think thats the hardest we could have got.

I'd defintely prefer Forest to Villa or City and maybe on current form even Muff or our bogey team, Fulham.

Will be competitive, but I think we do have the beating of them at the Amex.

Don't be stupid. They are 4th FFS.

Remember when we had an outstanding side including a world cup winning midfielder? We finished 6th that season.

I agree with you, but I'll add that we lost our manager that season, and were on the wrong end of some shocking refereeing, complete with PL apologies. We deserved to be higher.

Let’s see where they finish. It’s a bang average league this year. We’d be top 4 easily this season with the squad we had that year.
After they beat us, they led us by 13 points. That is down to 5 points now, because we're bang in form and they're bang out of it. But even if they finish 7th or 8th (and that could easily happen), they're still not "bang average". They will finish towards the top of the league and over the course of the season, they'll have deserved it

And, importantly, we finished 6th in a much stronger league season where the top sides were all at the races

Excluding us and Southampton, Forest have not beaten anyone in normal time since January 11. And they have lost three and drawn one - in normal time - of their four away games in that time.

We can do this.

Southampton were unlucky there as well.(we weren't)

Agree to disagree. It’s a poor league this year and all of the circumstances have gone in their favour. Predict them to slide down the league now that everyone else is getting their players back. Still haven’t answered who from their side you’d have in our starting 11?

Plenty saying they’re not bang average. Still haven’t heard who from their whole squad gets in our starting 11? Other than Murillo, I’d argue none of the rest
Elanga has had an outstanding season, Morgan Gibbs White is class on his day and as much as I can never understand quite why Chris Wood is so prolific, the fact is that does score lots of goals. Personally I really rate Elliott Anderson too.

Elanga over Mitoma? Gibbs-White over Georginho or Pedro? Anderson over Baleba? They’d have some players I’d take as squad players for sure. But starting 11, nope.

Whilst not taking sides, we finished 6th at the end of the season.

Forest may be 3rd today (not 4th), but there are 11 games still to go, and they're only six points above 10th.

When they thashed us 7-0 they were 13 points ahead of us - there's a not-unrealistic chance that could be down to two points by Saturday evening.

They are a decent, solid and highly-effective side. They've had a fantastic season. But they could still finish below us and, even, fail to qualify for Europe.

We shouldn't be looking at this as anything other than a tremendous opportunity to get back to Wembley.
