I was worried that one of our players had done something
The perpetual imposter syndrome of the fan of a club that has risen from the ashes of near-oblivion to heights that trigger nosebleeds.

Mate, I am exactly the same. :lolol:

A 20 point deduction for failure to declare an unconfiscated bottle top is certain. Any minute now.

Was your view obstructed by a low cloud, or possibly a drone? ???

I was out yesterday and missed it all. I only found out it was on ITV, today!

Talksport today …. Hawksby, Jacobs, Danny Kelly, Goldstein and Agbonlahor thought it an injustice for various reasons eg unlucky didn’t mean to make contact with JPVH’s head and so unfair that he misses a cup final.

Its a great place to visit, but a crap view, one of the many reasons I went to the league game there, but not to yesterday, mainly as was live on TV and would be able to see the game rather than spend 10 quid per loyalty point earned and see a few dots run around

As an avid FM player, love me some dots running around

Well....did you see the replay?
(I rather like the lad. He interviews well and has cut out the grassy-knoll poleaxed simulation, by and large.
But you don't do that and expect to jog on.)

First time I got round to seeing the incident was on Meridian ITV tonight. He saw the red mist, deserves the card and ban imho.

The whole thing was still on ITVX this afternoon with added bonus of being able to fast forward over the boring bits.

Not really the topic of conversation here, but listening on the radio I had no idea that Welbz had scored initially. It was met with such a lack of response from Aspinall and the other fella. It was only when Warren then was giddy with excitement over Tindall having his over-celebrations rubbed in his face that it was clear we'd scored a goal.

Desperately poor listening experience, but I was driving at the time and had no better option.
Wait what? Tindall gave it the big one? I cannot believe this. Surely you must have him mixed up with somebody else?

Thanks, putting it on now. I‘ll also edit out every NU attack :lolol: .
You could always dub in some atmosphere during extra time, as, watching the game again now, it appears the Saudis forgot to bring it.

I‘m watching it from the equaliser onwards. Little need to airbrush out the NUFC attacking, they’ve offered little. Crikey …. what a brilliant Albion display. McCoist and (often a tw@t) Matterface drooling over the one team playing a passing game, us.

The NU support comprises some bloke somewhere barking “Toon, Toon”, if he’s lucky a few thousand join in for 30 seconds.

That's not how ITVX works is it? You'll be able to randomly fast forward 10 seconds, then 5 minutes then have to watch 5 minutes of adverts before it freezes and you give up

…but……I doubt anyone who did go would rather have been watching it on TV

I was watching it again on my IPad, and you can see the dots where the broadcast changes. For instance, I didn’t rewatch any of the pre match analysis, nor interviews, going straight to kick off.
Yes, there are adverts, but that’s expected from a commercial station. I don’t pay for Premium.

Watching on the TV, I was immediately confident that Danny’s gem wouldstand
i was also convinced that Schar was offside from the start before there was a review.
Yes it is a bit tedious, but for me VAR worked yesterday.
Actually I was thinking the exact opposite - that was VAR at its officious worst. In the 'old days' for the Newcastle 'goal' the lino's flag would have, correctly, been raised before the ball even hit the back of the net as there were several Newcastle players in offside positions. Likewise for Welbeck's goal the lino would have kept his flag down as he could see that the RB was clearly playing him onside. Immediate real-time decisions - and correct. No need for VAR to be involved at all, except of course it has to be. It's a bit like having over-officious Customs' officers checking every inch of everybody's luggage

If one takes the Albion hat off and looks at the Schar "goal", it is exactly the sort of thing that I hate VAR for - that would have been given as a goal for 120 years prior to VAR without a single hint of controversy. That wasnt what VAR was brought in for and it boils my urine when these moments are overturned due to microscopic analysis - FFS the game was fine for 120 years prior to VAR , the goal was a belter , - kneecap, toecap, shoulder, where the player is mostly level to the naked eye is NOT what I want goals disallowed for. Of course, under these circumstances, it worked out well ;-) but Im talking about in general.
