I thought he was comfortably our best player. Very impressive.

I'm hoping because he doesn't do anything particularly flashy no one will be willing to pay the 47 bazillion Tony will probably be charging for him.
I think good recruitment sees the non-flashy stuff. MacAllister was similarly non flashy; he just did all the simple stuff really well. Although I think Hinshelwood has more goals in him from open play.

Posted this on a multi-team football forum I post on. With him missing a chunk of football through injury I should be pushing that deadline back but yet…

It’s a very easy mistake to make. Only the keenest opposing supporters will ever notice him. There’s very few examples of players who are so remarkable yes so utterly unremarkable.
Like Gross and Macallister then. Mac would run an entire match without you realising it.

Wharton is every pundit's go to for the youth spot in Tuchel's squad.
I suspect Hinsh will get overlooked because of the narrative around Wharton.

Not unhappy about Jack staying under the radar.

I'm sure I read/heard that Tuchel was at the game yesterday. Bit difficult to stay under the radar when you're on the pitch :lolol:
