Not related to City's case here, but Spain have filed a case against City for having finance from outside the EU, and competing within the EU. WTF? The UK isn't in the EU. You don't need to be in the EU to compete in European competitions. f***ing hypocritical wankers.

A 100 point reduction (or a smaller one significant enough to relegate City) has seemed the most likely outcome to me for a while.

A 100 point penalty would make the EPL look tough, it would also only inconvenience City for one season whilst they rebuild their aging squad in a league the will be far too good for and then they will be back with the slate wiped clean, cushty.

Given the scale of City's cheating this would amount to no more than a slap on the wrist even though they will milk the victim card for all it's worth. Anything punishment less than this basically renders any PSR, APT rules worthless as the richest will be able to challenge them.

Two seasons.

The one in which the deduction is imposed - knocking them out of European qualification (unless of course they got relegated but still qualified by winning the FA Cup...)

And the following one, that they spend destroying Reading's 106 point all-time points record, and winning the Europa League, to immediately qualify for the following season's Champions' League
100 points over two PL seasons. That way, they would get relegated this year (hopefully), a year in the Championship - then start the next season on -50, hopefully meaning relegation again. Could see them out of Europe for four seasons.

Which would be nice.

what massive club and fan base cant see them being rejected by EFL
Clubs would have to vote on it, I believe. If City are relegated then it means one less promotion place next season as City are bound to win it (assuming no additional points deductions). I suspect that clubs would vote against.

What I really believe is that it is the Premier League who brought the charges. Nobody knows what the independent panel will decide - including me.
So who gets the final decision if the independent panel suggest relegation or points deduction? Surely the Premier League have the final say?

Championship clubs don't have a say.

Ignore that, I didn't read the previous quote properly. You could be right. It depends on how clubs weigh up the potential for promotion against the money spinner and prestige of having City in the league.

This never crossed my mind.
So should City be relegated (I don't think they will, EPL don't have the Cahoonas), but anyway, what will the reaction be in the EFL?
The clubs expected to be promoted, be it from whatever league City go to, may be annoyed that a place will be lost because City and their wealth will be promoted.
On the other hand, the mid table clubs will be rubbing their hands at two games against City and the money. Note there is no £30 away ticket limit.

If City go down (which i cant believe will happen), assume one of Ipswich, Saints and Leicester avoid the drop? Or do all three go down and four come up?
If City are relegated and it's by the end of the season, I would imagine it would be two down. Good news for Ipswich or Leicester.

i read this as City had used other companies in the city football group to basically move the debt accrued by the football clubs to other entities within the group, therefore giving them less debt on the books boosting then amount they can spend= doing what most people think city do as perr normal city operating practice

I'd rather Leicester went down than Man City.

The independent commission will reach a verdict (it won't be a "suggestion"). That will be subject to appeal, of course (in which case, as I understand it, a second commission would then sit).
