I have to say - in fairness to B'muff, you were scarily good up front and I think a draw wouldn't have

Really enjoyed last nights performance it showed another side to the squad, one that was prepared to dig in against a very good Bournemouth side that looked dangerous all game. I was a little concerned on arriving at the stadium and the concourse was rather quite, I thought the team would need us to be vocal, and we were a bit flat in the North to be honest, nowhere near as raucous as the Chelsea games. I thought Gomez and Georginio were both outstanding along with Webster and Bart made some good saves, great team effort.

I like seeing 'teams like' Bournemouth pissing off the plastics. Long may it continue. Not at our expense though.
As regards the Bournemouth swipes, ignore them. It's only the odd person here and there. Folk forget how dirty Brighton can be and it has a share of problems to.. I've always liked Bournemouth. Especially The Bourne. It was shame that the Triangle and Commercial Road wasn't given much futuristic thought though. I wonder if that is now struggling a bit like other town centres. It would be a shame if so as it has a lot going for it.

150? arrests or crowd ejections. I thought it was 1969. I was in the northern Chicken Run at the time - by 1971 I had migrated to the North Stand....That’s the one! Boxing Day +1. As it was played on the Bank Holiday Monday ‘cos Sunday games then were a strict no-no. 30,000 and more in the ground, Kit Napier doing his stuff, a comfortable 2-0 win and Super Mac Ted MacDougall in the mud. Great day!

Obviously biased - great place to grow up i'd say - possibly not so great after if you can't find a decent job etc.. not a great wages/house price ratio (Leighton Buzzard where I am now is the polar opposite, although house prices have risen in the last 5 years)
But a definite 'Bournemouth bubble' as you alluded to. The playboy type who thinks his little playground has the best shopping/nightlife etc. It's usually football fans who go away to other cities and realise how much better things can be.
I lived in Nottingham in the mid 90's and it absolutely craps on Bournemouth for pubs & clubs.

Cheers, yeah there's always been a bit of banter between us, but had a great chat with some Brighton fans on train the first match of the season and we generally get on alright - stories from mates on England away matches too. Although there's been a few moments
Regarding the town - same as a lot of places where the department stores have closed down, some with plans to turn into flats etc. It's a transition period isn't it. It will get better in a decade I think.

However, as the Brighton fans arrived the trouble started, and the away contingent got pushed further and further along until they were penned in against the fence separating the North Stand from the East Terrace.
After the match there were further outbreaks of violence and the Bournemouth coaches, which were parked at the Greyhound Stadium, were attacked and many windows were smashed.

Great game and a fantastic win - its games like this that we need to win if we’re seriously harbouring any european thoughts, so a massive 3 points for the lads. Next league game against Fulham is another big one for us so onwards and upwards - Seagulls!!!

Iniz Perez at Rayo Vallecano was AI’s assistant at RV and is the current manager at RV too. Would be a good replacement, but I think other clubs might be wise to him now.
