There. I said it.

The powerful physique. The way he can drop a shoulder and go past a player like they're not there. The perfectly weighted threaded through-balls. The sheer presence of the man.

He's just an incredible driving force. They didn't show a replay, but that bit in the first half when he collected it on the edge of our box and ploughed on through 2 players before releasing it....kinell.

I like him.

Great first half but faded in second. It was his first start so understandable. Baleba and Gomes in midfield looks very promising.

Zamora is my favourite player of all time. It would take so much to take that crown. Im not usually one to jump on one performance but god him and baleba together in midfield is mouth watering. If we see more of the same and some goals added. I can see him being right up there.
agreed Zamora feels slightly inevitable as
One of the greats. However, Georgino is making a good case and gomez tonight was amazing. Calderon still is my favourite but there are a few players in the current team who are so dangerously likeable that it is becoming a tricky thought

He's the strangest looking player: I kept watching him make moves and thinking it looked like he was running in treacle, and yet there he was, bursting past opponents with the merest drop of a shoulder.

Thought he (quite reasonably) faded a little in the second, but let's not forget he's come from the MLS, a much slower league where his role probably consisted of "win the ball, get it to Messi". I thought tonight (and his other substitute appearances) have been very promising indeed.

I hope the level of his performance was visible to those watching on TV.
