He (RFK) had been disowned by that family years ago for being a wrong un.

A heavy drug user in his youth. It's documented.

Conviction for heroin possessionTo satisfy conditions of his probation, Robert Kennedy Jr. worked as a volunteer for the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) and was required to attend regular drug rehabilitation sessions. Kennedy asserted that this ended his 14 years of heroin use, which he said had begun when he was 15.

Donald Trump's government facing 'massive collapse' in just 30 days - and 'it's already over'

Democratic strategist James Carville believes that Donald Trump faces a "massive collapse" in just 30 days, adding "it's over."

The 47th President has been keen to be viewed as leading an active administration, having signed dozens of executive orders since coming into office on January 20. But Mr Carville said he believes the firebrand will tank his approval ratings with the American public.

Speaking with Mediatite's Dan Abrams, Mr Carville said: "I believe that this administration, in less than 30 days is in the midst of a massive collapse and particularly a collapse in public opinion." When asked to clarify what he meant by this, Mr Carville said he believed the administration was already crumbling about one month into the job.

Not sure about that one. Trump seems to work 24/7. He's everywhere, scary work ethic for his age.

Perfectly normal country…

A legislative town hall hosted by the Kootenai County Republican Central Committee erupted into chaos on Saturday when a woman was forcibly removed after voicing concerns about the potential repeal of Medicaid expansion and other legislative issues.

Teresa Borrenpohl of Post Falls was asked to leave after making remarks to legislative members on stage. When she refused, Borrenpohl was pulled from her seat, wrestled to the ground, and dragged out of the Coeur d’Alene High School auditorium by three unidentified individuals.

Kootenai County Sheriff Bob Norris is seen telling Borrenpohl to "get up or be arrested" before the men intervened. "This is not a negotiation," Norris said. Borrenpohl shouted, "Women deserve a voice," before being removed.

"We’ve got to be a little aggressive with some of these folks here," Bejarana said. "Your voice is meaningless right now. ... I can talk over all of you."

The Idaho Democratic Party issued a statement from Chair Lauren Necochea, emphasizing the importance of First Amendment rights. "If we can’t question leaders elected to represent us without fear of reprisal, we are not free," Necochea said. She criticized the town hall organizers for not allowing dialogue and condemned the physical removal of Borrenpohl. "Idaho deserves better," Necochea said.

'Dissent was not being tolerated': Woman forcibly removed from Idaho Republican Town Hall in Coeur d'Alene

COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho — A legislative town hall meeting hosted by the Kootenai County Republican Central Committee (KCRCC) descended into violence on Saturday when unidentified men forcibly removed a woman from the auditorium.

Teresa Borrenpohl was at Coeur d'Alene High School, where Republican legislators had gathered to provide updates on the current legislative session.

The incident occurred during a discussion about reproductive rights legislation when Borrenpohl called out, "Is this a lecture or a town hall?"

According to Kunz and Sines-Kermelis, prior to the forcible removal of Borrenpohl, Sheriff Norris said he could pepper spray Borrenpohl and then told the unidentified men to remove her. The two also stated a male bystander who approached to check on Borrenpohl's welfare was zip-tied and removed from the premises.

"Teresa yells multiple times, 'Sheriff Norris, are these your deputies? Sheriff Norris, are these your deputies?' And he just stands there filming with his personal camera on his cell phone, filming her and not responding," Kunz said.

I do believe this Sheriff will regret these actions and will face some kind of corrective action for his behavior.

Much as I’d like to believe this, I think I’d prefer to see it to believe it

There may be an element of this being a race against time, to eliminate the instruments of democracy before any serious defence can be mounted.

I’m reasonably certain in my mind that this is what’s being attempted. Talk of “this is the next four years” is naive.

This is the thing that’s staggers me the most. That the biggest thing I hear and see from MAGA is that everyone and everything that had gone before is corrupt. But in removing this “evil” they have really replaced it with a bigger and more sinister version of the same. It’s truly staggering how hoodwinked they are…

And if people think Reform wouldn’t go down that same same path if they could, then they are deluded

Not in 2018 or in 2025: The Philadelphia Eagles players reply with “massive no” to possible White House invite

In keeping with tradition, the newest NFL championship winners have been invited to Washington D.C., although reports suggest the Eagles have no intention of taking up Trump’s offer, as also happened following their previous Super Bowl triumph in 2018.

I guess Trump isn't too popular with NFL Super Bowl winners despite attending the championship game. A giant "f*** You" to the president.

Does it strike anyone as weird that the sherrif seemingly gave way to the private secruity people?

surely this should be the other way round?

probably just TDS though right?
I think the Sherriff is a political position and get's voted in. As this is a staunchly republican state so likely the Sherriff is a trump loving redneck with no sense of civic duty and responsibility!

Congratulations to the Kootenai County Elected Officials Sworn-In January 13

County Seal 1

Congratulations to the Kootenai County Elected Officials sworn in January 13, 2025.
• Marc Eberlein, Commissioner District 1
• Leslie Duncan, Commissioner District 3
• Robert Norris, Sheriff
• Stanley Mortensen, Prosecuting Attorney

You can watch the entire ceremony here.

At approximately the 10:00 minute mark of the above swearing in ceremony Sheriff Robert Norris of Kootenai County, Idaho swore to uphold the constitution of the United States and less than 2 months into his term violated the US constitution by violating the constitutional rights of Teresa Borrenpohl, a US citizen and citizen of the US state of Idaho.

First Amendment to the United States Constitution: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

From the Idaho Statesman story:

Coeur d’Alene Police Chief Lee White said it’s not appropriate for law enforcement to forcefully remove a person from a town hall for speaking out of turn or shouting.

White said “I don’t care what your message is, especially in an open town hall like this,” “We have to respect everybody’s First Amendment rights, regardless of what side of the aisle you happen to sit on. I know there’s some people up here who probably disagree with me and would like us to take action and maybe try to silence a voice that’s in opposition to theirs at a town hall, but there’s very little we can do with regard to First Amendment protections. We have to make sure people have the protections afforded them under the Constitution.”

Far right grifters worldwide will be carefully observing and learning from what is unfolding in the US at warp speed .

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, we’re in a fight to preserve democracy as we know it.

Just because someone puts out messages on social media at silly o'clock doesn't mean that they are productive.

It should be about the quality of the work, not how long you sit at a desk signing Executive Orders you don't understand with a felt tip pen.
