I never thought I would see an Albion player I liked more than Lawrenson, then we singed Knocky, who I loved, his enthusiasm, his ability and his directness.
I’ve always had a soft spot for Solly, his tenacity to come back from 3 career ending type injuries, his quiet determination to be the best player he could possibly be.

I think Georginio may surpass all 3 and become my favourite Albion player of all time. He’s mad as a March hare, but, what a player. I just love watching his enthusiasm and all round joie de vivre. He must be an absolute dream to share a dressing room with.

I always think watching football on TV means you see a lot less of what a player brings to the table than when you watch them live. Most of my previous experience of him was in TV games for Leeds, where I thought he’d always underwhelmed.

I’m happy to have been proven wrong. He’s a really clever, powerful player who’s improved hugely as the season has progressed, and he’s been far and away the best summer signing so far, even taking into account Minteh’s improvements.
