Clinton wasn't a bad candidate and would have been a good president. She lost to obama but served alongside him.I agree with everything you say, but would push back slightly on the “decades” when it comes to the Democrats. Obama was a genuinely strong and charismatic leader, and I think Biden could have been great had he got a chance much earlier (say 2008)
You're right absolutely right though. How was there no strong successor in place in more recent years? - Everyone knew Trump would be back.
Sanders was a risk, a sound politician but like Tony Benn a great orator but maybe not a great consensus politician.
You are right re Biden being 4 years too late. If harris had known 2 years earlier that Biden wouldn't have stood she would have been better prepared and framed a different position than she had to stand on.
Buttigieg would be great as would be Shapiro but the former being gay will stand against him as did being a woman against harris and clinton
