Surely Brexit has been a wonderful success?

Our country and our public services have never had it so good?

Also, nice not have to think about whether to move to the continent or not. Decision made for me!

What we should do is irrelevant isn't it, as the government has already told us they absolutely won't be doing that.

Putting country before party apparently...
Actually Starmer's precise words were:

"This is my project – a Britain once more in the service of working people. Country first, party second."

If you refuse to pursue the one thing that will improve the fortunes of this nation, then you are absolutely not putting the country first.

I was huge on Remain pre the referendum, primarily for economic reasons, it is so obvious. Secondary to that was being in an alliance with our near neighbours and friends …. I love the continent and likewise appreciated all the hardworking Poles, Portuguese, Spanish etc in the NHS and working their socks off in small UK businesses (@WATFORD zero … the Dyke Road Cafe for example).

One thing I kinda overlooked in the chaos of the build up to the vote because not once thinking that Brexit would win, was that younger Brits would become de facto prisoners of these bloody expensive isles. Thus adding insult to injury with our sky high property prices/rents. Ironically, that disenfranchisement is now driving millions of them mainly males, to parties such as Reform. Farage orchestrated the sh1t show, now he benefits from it!

Not even the LibDems are pushing for re entry. Crazy. Mindful of anti EU constituents in their seats of OAP’s and West Country anti EU types?

The LibDems are campaigning for the EU. James MacLeary, my MP, introduced a 10 minute bill for Youth Movement.
The Green Party are pro EU, as well.

I applied for my 2 year Canada work visa the morning after the results came in. I left within 4 months, and this weekend I have my Canadian Citizenship test.
Good luck mate. I wish I had been as decisive as you! After the result in 2016 I swore I wouldn't live in Brexshit Britain. I campaigned and marched against it until Liar Johnson's election in 2019. In 2020, I decided to move to Portugal then after 2 and a half years of preparation, made the move in 2023. I will be applying for citizenship in about 2028.

Oh, how annoying
It's fine, I have free healthcare here through extended benefits.

Everyone in Canada is entitled to publicly funded hospital and physician services through provincial health plans. The funding is collected through federal and provincial taxes. As long as you're a citizen/resident/here on a valid work/study permit, you get free basic healthcare for doctors and hospital trips, emergency room, ambulance etc.

What isn't covered, is some prescription drugs, dental care, vision care and long term care services. This is where our work medical benefits come in. Sort of like a top up so you're never dipping into your own pocket.

The Green Party are pro EU, as well.

The core younger LibDem membership were frustrated with the long game.

The Green Party are almost an irrelevance under FPTP. I vote for their MP.

Every year out is costing us countless £b’s in trade and growth.

It has been absolutely shite
Indeed. I don't think people really know some of the rubbishness that's a consequence. I'm an accidental drone user having been asked to make a serious drone work for a conservation charity, within EU rules, it's kind of simple and I could fly close (ISH) to people and buildings. In the UK, more complicated and at the end of this year the rules just kind of finish. Many drones will be bricks. Not a massive deal for most I'm sure but symptomatic of the sad situation.
