Hurrah ! Minced-up eyelids and arseholes all round !
That's just lazy, out of date stereotyping in fairness. If you worked in the Food Safety Industry, you'd know McDonald's, KFC etc are amongst THE best in terms of product quality and standards worldwide. Also, about ten years ago I remember KFC embarking on a global campaign to clear up such disinformation worldwide, and suing the arse off of anyone spreading such slander so be careful what you say - the robots might pick you up! ;)

So they don't use any "mechanically recovered" meat at all ? It's all prime cuts ?

And I'm not disagreeing about standards, I've been "out the back" in a few fast food joints and Macdonalds were by far the cleanest.

MRM is perfectly fine if they do, although myths and falsehoods abound and are naturally 'sticky' because that's the human mind as we know - negatively biased.

Have you ever been to a major commercial abattoir and/or meat factory, of the scale that supplies such behemoths, and walked the line so's to speak? I've seen a few in my career, always fascinating and explodes a lot of these myths Joe Public like to believe (and spread!). Also puts you off meat for a while. I really am a hypocrite because I love animals, though I eat a lot less meat nowadays and tend to got for better quality too. Still a hypocrite mind!

It'll still taste shit no matter where you buy it from.

You could just go to the butcher, but some mince and make them yourself.

How do McDonald's manage to sell burgers so cheaply, and how do they make them taste like cardboard?

I’m FOR it - on the sole condition that Kev the Ape aka @Basil Fawlty is installed as Manager and the enigmatic Becky is appointed Assistant Manager.

Just far enough away from LDC
Same. Tried it for the first time at the branch on Western Road and it caused untold damage to my car. Hard to see how that’s supposed to be ‘convenient’ ffs.
Even worse if you use the Churchill square one. The top floor of the car park is the same level but the entrance isn't wide enough for my MPV

A short section of cycle lane apparently bought this section of the OSR to a halt, but I’m sure a McDs drive-thru will be fine.

Well taste is personal but in terms of price the answer is surely that they sell in astronomical volume

Supermarkets also sell high volumes of food, but McD's seem to sell their cooked burgers for less than the raw meat in the supermarket. This does make me question the quality of said meat. And then when I taste it, I seem to have my answer.
