If EV starts banging then in for West Ham and we continue to struggle it would be a very bad look for FH. ( shows his lack of judgement in a player and his alleged treatment of the player were off the mark)
I don’t think the club have done the wrong thing by loaning EV out once they realised that FH didn’t want him. The club itself is now trying to protect the value of its asset.
FH solely decides the 1st team squad? Really. Honestly!!

He looked pretty fit when he came on on Saturday.

There was a dissertations worth of stuff to be worried about on Saturday but this was right up there.

Ferguson has been looking off it for a year now and he finally looked something like his old self on Saturday. Just before we loan him out. I just hope his sprightly demeanor wasn't because he couldn't wait to get out of here.

This is the thing I don't quite grasp about all the suggestions that Fergusons issues must be because of our current manager. It could be but......

Ferguson has looked off his game and downright miserable long BEFORE Fabian was appointed.

I would love to know what really is the issue with Ferguson.

Is he just 'working his ticket' from a contract that he now regrets signing...?

Ferguson went off the boil under RDZ and hasn't looked any better under FH - You have a point that this downturn coincided with a new fat contract.

I just couldn't quite believe that the first green shoots of a recovery in form seemed to coincide with his impending departure.

When he plays for the Sham it could be quite telling. If he’s instantly back full of energy and on form then we may have a degree of behind the scenes issues.
Says more about Evan than anyone else if that’s the case in my opinion.

He has been injured since April 2023 in one form or another. That's why he's looked off of his game. Below from The Athletic.

"After that hat-trick, niggles began to affect Ferguson’s minutes, form and belief. There was a patellar tendon knee issue, a back injury and an ankle injury dating back to a 2-1 win at Chelsea in April 2023. He scored only twice in 23 further league appearances in the 2023-24 season, starting only one of the seven games for which he was available in the run to the last 16 of the Europa League.

His season ended prematurely in March. Managing the ankle problem was no longer viable. Ligament surgery on the joint ruled him out for six months, delaying his entry to the current campaign until September."

Hopefully he regains full fitness and form but ultimately, he's not going to come back to us. Performs well and he's off to bigger clubs than West Ham, doesn't perform well and he's probably off for less money somewhere less exciting. He's 20, there'll be a ton of clubs willing to take a punt on a potential world beater if we have to cut the price to make it happen.

Absolutely spot on. Arm around him. I’d be amazed if he doesn’t score more league goals than Welbeck and Joao Pedro combined over the rest of the season.
The £30 to charity challenge.
I will update the spreadsheet as the goals go flying in.

So I can understand why he hasn't played but I struggle to understand how he will suddenly start playing for a different club.
