Although he turned out to be a bit of a stinker (and not in January window) but was not that long we were getting excited we got one of Barcelona's upcoming superstars on loan with Ansu Fati. Now seems we're shipping out all out young talent to clubs in our league and signing unknowns from the bottom of the Championship and Bundesliga 2. Doesn't fill me with joy to be honest.

Certainly given itself a tall order of integrating/developing so many new 'one for the future' signings and a very young coach learning on the job. It's the timing of both together.

Some green shoots e.g. that second half versus Spurs, the double over Manure. Whilst at other times we're clearly levels down on the football of April 2022 to Sept 2023, and that old Potter era chestnut has resurfaced that we now very rarely win at home. The vast majority of fans only make home games, so that's demoralising. Even some nsc'ers who say they're always positive, admit to now missing games if there are issues eg KO time or trains.

The positive folk intimate that it will all come good next season. Shirley that's dependent on keeping Baleba?

Let's see.

How would "third-choice" (if he even was such anyway) be "random"? If he was on a list as third he is, by definition, not random.

Also, flair talent does not equal good talent.

So what do you do with young talent when your first team squad has so much depth (albeit with most injured or coming back from injury) and it gets to the point that you have so many players you have to do what's best for the player and in these instances they want regular first team football to further THEIR careers. If we block that by keeping them in the U21s, no young talent is going to want to come here.

How you are pinning this on FH is mind blowing - most were here before he arrived and it's not solely his decision. Still to keep NSC content we should lobby the EPL to start 14 players every game to keep all the players and NSC happy.....

It's all being coordinated by @Bozza to ramp up traffic on NSC from people who think it's the end of the world!

Anyway, you raise some good points. Can't believe no-one's mentioned it before. What's your take on it, THPP? Do you have a feeling about it?

I'm sure I'll get shot down by all the happy clappers for suggesting this, but I wonder if Bloom is looking to sell sometime soon and before doing so is making a bit of money for himself by selling the family silver? I can't really think of any other sensible reasons for some of the crackpot decisions being made by the club at the moment.

Agree away games up North are now becoming very difficult, and less enjoyable, let alone much more costly. This is nothing to do with the Albion but just a complete breakdown in the rail service. Avanti West Coast are becoming unusable.
