Because it’s right to allow Mitoma to go and make his money (assuming he wants to). Mitoma is currently blocking Adingra’s development, so it gives Adingra the opportunity to fulfill his potential, and it gets the deal done to bring in the next exciting young winger on the production line, who will eventually replace Adingra in the first team when we sell him for big money.

It’s not a particularly difficult one to understand.
Agree that you cant hold back Mitoma if he wants to leave and the offer is right, however, slight flaw in that overall plan, is Adingra is not a patch on Mitoma unfortunately....... I'd argue he's behind Solly too and is way too inconsistent.

if i could be arsed i'd like to see andingra's goal to minutes played ratio. Bet is far better than both Mitoma and March. He does seem consistent in his ability to score goals.

To be fair, the inconsistent form is at least partly down to Simon having to occasionally play on the right, where I agree Solly is ahead of him - but you would imagine the plan is for Simon to succeed Mitoma as our first choice LW instead of muddling through on the right so the Solly comparison is neither here nor there.

All these wingers? Not sure we consistently play with the players and tactics to utilise there strengths?

Luckily I can! Even though goals scored isnt really the best metric for a winger imho.

Premier league.

Simon Adingra, a forward for Brighton & Hove Albion, has a goals per game ratio of
0.17 This is calculated by dividing the total number of goals by the total number of games played.

Explanation

  • In the Premier League, Adingra scored 8 goals from his 47 premier league matches.
  • This gives him a goals per game ratio of 0.17.

Kaoru Mitoma's goals per game ratio is 0.2, meaning he scores 0.2 goals per match

Explanation
  • In the Premier League, Mitoma has scored 15 goals in 76 appearance

Solly March is worse in that ratio, 14 goals from 184 games gives him a ratio of 0.07

This is madness. This is becoming like Football Manager. Rather than improve our tactics, our coaching and our bloody in game shout outs, we just sack off players and replace them with even less experienced ones.

Most managers would bloody bite your hand off to have Adingra, Ferguson and Enciso in their squad.

Watson and Osman are clearly the replacements for Adingra & Mitoma. They are boys.

This is long term planning stuff. I don’t think we’ll see either in the squad unless Kaoru and Simon are off. That might well be a few seasons away.

Interesting then that Ferguson and Enciso ended up at two poor teams like West Ham and Ipswich when most managers would have them.
