Well, yes he's unproven at top level but unlike Gruda, he plays on the left. They might be thinking of him as a replacement for Mitoma should he leave in the summer?

Mitoma has said he prefers CL football over Saudi (should any of those teams want him).
Adingra is not good enough if we are progressing. Look at his form this season and back end of last.

Is Adingra (and Ferguson for that matter) not looking good because of the manager, team set up, lack of minutes given, eroding confidence? Or, if he is no longer seen as not good enough, then maybe we should have taken Marseille's offer - not shipping him to the Championship.

Well, there’s no indication just yet Simon is Championship bound, it’s only what Sunderland have proposed. And if we’re going to list the myriad reasons why certain players might not be performing, it’s probably worth including injuries, as Evan wasn’t fit at the start of the season, had to get match fit after his layoff, and got injured again in the winter.
Be understandable if we were swapping him out for a world beater, but this is an injured 18 year old.
