Dangerous Idiot
Naylor a day behind as usual
Naylor never seems to get any transfer news first. It must be very demoralising for him to be the chief Brighton reporter for the Athletic but no one at the club will give him a heads up & he clearly doesn’t have many or any contacts with the agents. He’s been in the business a long time but just seems like he doesn’t have a network of high quality contacts.Naylor a day behind as usual
That's not his job at the Athletic. He's there to write articles, not break transfer news. That's for Ornstein to do these days.Naylor never seems to get any transfer news first. Might have something to do with the division of labor at the Athletic, Naylor has colleagues whose beat is transfers.Naylor never seems to get any transfer news first. And then there’s the old Tizwas theme ready made chant. If we do singe him, I'll be very disappointed if a moderator fails to change the thread title to "It's Tzimas!!!"
One with 7000 followers the other with 147 K.......hopefully the guy with more knows best. These two contradict each other as you would expect with most of this being made up media speculation.
But Naylor says we are interested. So I'll just run with that.

He first confirmed Albion's interest in Tzimas over 2 weeks ago >> https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/60...hton-transfer-window-plans-adarabioyo-tzimas/Might have something to do with the division of labor at the Athletic, Naylor has colleagues whose beat is transfers.
FWIW Naylor first confirmed interest in Tzimas over 2 weeks ago, confirmed it again on Jan 28th - said it was "ongoing", and has written about it multiple times this window.Naylor a day behind as usual
Fair enough - generally true that news about our targets comes from Ornstein rather than Naylor though. He first confirmed Albion's interest in Tzimas over 2 weeks ago >> https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/60...hton-transfer-window-plans-adarabioyo-tzimas/
Again FWIW. Hes tweeted several times today including confirmation of the Barco transfer, promoting his analysis of yesterday's defeat , and an Athletic piece about RDZ .Andy Naylor is getting closer to retiring.
I'm not sure how hungry he is to hunt down the big stories when he can spend his Sunday with his grandchild.
I would expect a new name from The Athletic to be covering the Albion fairly soon.
