Beyond his Islam obsession, I'm not sure he is a "racist" - not in the conventional sense we understand.

Arguably his reaction to circumstances around him in Luton was to a degree understandable. That town is not really an example on how to integrate working class people from very different cultures.

But and it's a f***ing huge but, our friend is a career grifter and criminal. He's learnt that hate and conspiracy theories are very lucrative in the internet world. Especially with a large American audience that haven't got a f***ing scooby what it going on within their own borders let alone the rest of the plant.

He's clever though, that I will say, but a lot of criminals are.

Not sure why you quoted me with that post (without context), but I stand by my statement.

Robinson is quite different from others on the far right, if he's even there. A career criminal with an obsession with Islam who has cornered himself. Effectively unemployable, going to prison is a marketing strategy.

Apologies it was intended as a follow on from the not being racist bit, a conversation with someone who has been in that world of how they’ve laundered the racism into more cultural prejudices to make it more palatable. Wasn’t intended as a means of disagreement but as a follow up to your point (which, BTW, I agreed with).

No worries. I've read extensively around the traditional far right and read extensively about him. He's a clever sod, quite different and very much (in his recent incarnation) of the grifter internet age where when the money comes in (and the lifestyle), it's very difficult to change the brand.

His core support are so thick they can't see his inconsistencies.

He's a criminal who has worked out he can monetise far right views. Got in so deep, he'll actively take a prison stretch for clicks.

That said he's very very dangerous, hugely popular and the authorities really struggle to get a hold on him.

In the old days, they simply "followed the money" but they failed to do so. I'm concerned the authorities are scared of doing so, for fear of upsetting his supporters and whatever is going on in America.
