Really? Money apart what’s the attraction to a player?Whilst I agree with you, the same club are also signing 21 year old Jhon Duran
The lure of that league is increasing and it's not just a retirement home any more

Corrected for you. This one will be all about whether Mitoma wants to go. Financially it would set his family up for generations.
He’s been so good for us, we’d all really miss him if he goes.
I know this, but I repeat... WHAT IS THE POINT?!?I grew up in North London and most of my mates are season ticket holders at Arsenal. They are annoying as f*** and generally clueless about how football actually works, but they would never ever want anyone to buy any of their players, especially the Saudis.
Despite the volume of shit like the stuff you highlighted, you've got to remember that real fans don't talk like that. These people are interested only from arms length at trades and transfers and have no real connection outside of the dopamine hit Fabrizio personally hands them each time he tweets "Here we go..." . Come mid-February, they'll be back to tweeting about made up rumours for the summer whilst Arsenal flounder again to a second place finish.
f*** off £90-100m or we walk away. Hes too important.Have a horrible feeling this will only end up one way. The wages he will be offered will be life changing.
If we can get £70m I’m sure both parties will come away happy.
Wide areas is the one position we are well stocked and that’s a huge amount for a 29 year old.
To be fair it sounds like that’s the club’s position too as well as Karou’sSorry we should not be considering this under any circumstances at this point in the window. Is that not the obvious answer?
I think there is no way they offer that much money if Mitoma wants to go. We would accept a lot less if Mitoma wanted to leave. That amount of money is intended to try and bully a deal to be made, to get us to try and convince Mitoma to accept the offerYup. Anyone who thinks clubs put £90m on the table only to find out the player was always going to say no are insane. His agent will have been approached with a number that is lifechanging well in advance of receiving a formal bid.
Agree, mate.Sorry we should not be considering this under any circumstances at this point in the window. Is that not the obvious answer?
Selling Mitoma, more than the Enciso/Ferguson stuff basically says "We're settling in mid-table" this season. Totally the wrong message to send to the squad and the fans, and I defy any manager to come out and be pleased if it goes ahead.Sorry we should not be considering this under any circumstances at this point in the window. Is that not the obvious answer?
End of story then!£54m rejected and Alex Crook (reliable on Albion news) says player is not interested in a move either
Agred, BUT if someone offered an obscene amount of money like they probably would, you'd have to be pretty nonchalant to not give it a second thought.I remember reading an interview with Mitoma somewhere not long after he broke into the team. Unfortunately I can't remember where it was. But in it, he said that he was motivated by trying to become the best player he could possibly be and that meant testing himself against the highest-level opponents possible.
Now, if that was true and not just media guff, then there's no way he'd go there at this stage of his career.
I think we may well lose him in the summer, but if we do, it'll be because a Champions League club has come in for him. That's really the only step-up he has left.
