Diplomacy won't do much good, neither would going to war with the USA. Need to t hink out of the box, and without going to war, do something which will immediately negatively affect US Citizens, with massive use of social networking to turn the US against, if not Trump personally, against his policy of invading a foreign sovereign country. Needs to be quick and instant too.
Close all EU and NATO airports to all US airlines overnight, no dilly-dallying, no warning, and ban US citizens travelling to NATO and EU countries- simply don't accept their passports at customs and send them back - and do it it overnight. Make it clear on every social platform that normality will be restored the minute Trump withdraws from Greenland (apart from those US forces which I believe are already there, and have been for years, with the full agreement of Greenland and Denmark).

Somewhat ironic that one of the most anti EU posters on NSC of the last decade, now wants to tell the EU what to do to stop Trump. Maybe you should be campaigning for Britain to "close it's borders" to all US citizens, now that we've regained control and see if that would do it

Components
Military components such as microchips and electronics are not sourced solely from the US. In Fact, BAE Systems, HQ in the UK, is one of the major suppliers of sophisticated electronics to the US military. The US protects its supply chain by ensuring BAE Systems manufactures in the US, and the MOD does the same by ensuring they manufacture in the UK.

My Labrador has a longer attention span than Trump. He doesn't want to take Greenland, or the Panama Canal, or Canada- he just wants to stay on the front page of the news... and stir debate amongst the masses. His ADHD will refocus next week on seemingly random topics ranging from his top secret masterplan to end the War in Ukraine to "Planting an American flag on Mars," to lowering the price of "bacon and apples" as he over-promised in his inaugural MAGA Fest. It's a never-ending cycle of headline-grabbing BS that he throws into the media machine like chum while they fish for headlines... In the end, he will spend billions on a new military base in Greenland, and claim it costs less that buying the country and declare "victory."

Perhaps you could persuade Trump to buy the Chagos Islands from us, Starmer doesn't want them and we have a 'Black hole' in our budget.
Yours for £22bn.

The best thing about Americans is most of them wouldn't know how to get here if they wanted to . . . And most of them can't as they don't have a passport.

They're special and yetnthere's still a relationship. . . .

We could send in some special forces to have another crack at burning down the White House? We did it before, after all.

Perhaps Olaf Scholz can come up with something like the Zimmermann telegram incident again and Mexico can attack before they have to pay for the wall he's going to build?

Similar to the Falklands, I'm gussing Greenland has a lot of untapped minerals, oil and fishing reserves.
Mmmm.... she piled into the Falklands after the invasion...
having ignored repeated warning from the services that the Argies were itching for a junta-saving win...

when it was almost too late...

and had to sink the fleeing Belgrano to finish it.

And even then she wanted to be best buds with the fascist wanker Galtiery who she'd seen off.

One of the most embarrassing bits of British history after Suez and 'little piece of paper'.

You mean to say that after South Georgia was retaken and the Union Flag was flying above Grytviken once again you weren't rejoicing at that news and congratulating our forces and the marines? ???

...and possibly even facilitating it by withdrawing the Endurance from arctic patrolling, basically signalling to the junta.

However, it saved Thatcher's first administration and gave her a further two terms.

Not saying the two things were linked or that the first was deliberate to enable the second obviously!

Interesting POV.
For the retaking of the Falklands, I'd be very biased into saying it needed to happen, being ex military.
As for MT, just another politician riding on the shoulder behind Britannia on her face.

I read Private Eye.

I was livid with the stage-managed press conferences...
the buttock clenching hopefulness of the face save..
And the dead.

I've got no time for Thatcher but........The Falklands was at the height of the cold War and an attack on the territory of the second biggest member of NATO. The powers that be in the forces wanted a response and there was one. The build up to the invasion happening was a total failure, but we responded, having the capability to still do so, won and the rest is history. I personally don't see there being an alternative at the time. The Belgrano had missiles on board that were a direct threat to our fleet and we'd put a warning out on how we'd consider Argentine ships. It was sailing in a zigzag fashion to avoid our subs.
