WHAT a thing to say. Blimey.
What was that I said about the people getting the governments they deserve?

The thing is there are people like us and, er, other people.

Other people are the problem.

It seems to be genuinely insane. I think that Denmark and Greenland should step up it's defence and say nothing more. Don't give Trump the oxygen of an argument. If he wants Greenland he has to take it by force and if he does NATO should cone to Greenland's aid.
Would need to expel USA from NATO first tho eh?

Freeze his assets.
Not entirely sure he has any.
Hiding his debts and pardoning his sins (economic as well as sexual) is his reason for becoming president
(It is hardly because he is a lifelong committed democrat).

Apparently Trump is now calling for Gaza to be cleared of people with other Arab states taking the Palestinians.
Because Gaza is, apparently a mess.
Bibi's government has warmly applauded him.

Interesting times.

Yes, maybe expel the USA from NATO. If Trump tries to take Greenland by force we must meet that force. A line MUST be drawn in the sand or where does it end ?

Edit: If we meet force with force I would suggest we say along the lines of " Sorry, we are not being anti American, we are anti Trump. Have a little think. "

How would the US invade Greenland when the military are already there and active ?

Er, by seizing control of government, sending a large uninvited military force and enforcing US rule ? That's the way invasions usually happen.

I assume he meant to say why not how.

First thing to consider is what monetary value does Greenland have that Trump wants ? That’s all his interest is, the strategic value is already his due to American militia already ensconced within its borders, oil and rare metals are apparently plentiful along with fish !

Diplomacy won't do much good, neither would going to war with the USA. Need to t hink out of the box, and without going to war, do something which will immediately negatively affect US Citizens, with massive use of social networking to turn the US against, if not Trump personally, against his policy of invading a foreign sovereign country. Needs to be quick and instant too.
Close all EU and NATO airports to all US airlines overnight, no dilly-dallying, no warning, and ban US citizens travelling to NATO and EU countries- simply don't accept their passports at customs and send them back - and do it it overnight. Make it clear on every social platform that normality will be restored the minute Trump withdraws from Greenland (apart from those US forces which I believe are already there, and have been for years, with the full agreement of Greenland and Denmark).

According to The Sunday Times today a 1917 agreement between The UK and Denmark means if Greenland was to be sold London has the rights to buy it first due to to the dominion of Canada next door to it. This was because prior to that when the US bought the Danish West Indies off Copenhagen, which is now the US Virgin Islands, President Wilson wanted the Danes to throw in Greenland as well for the $25m purchase price but they refused. The US later signed a letter saying Greenland 'is and will forever be Danish.'
I do enjoy a bit of history 👍👍

He wouldn't do that because he's always wanging on about how he's anti-war and how he stops conflicts and doesn't start them. And you KNOW how much of a man of his word he is...

:dunce:
He just needs to say something like - 'President Woodrow Wilson was a loser. A real loser. A terrible loser and his deal with Denmark over Greenland was a terrible one. A really terrible one. I'm going to do a great deal for Greenland though. A really great deal. We're going to make Greenland great again and you know who's paying for this deal? Denmark is. That's right, Denmark is paying for this deal.'

Something like that'll work.
