He spent £200m after selling £250m. I’m not an accountant but…
Can’t see your point the money was spent however it was accrued.
Hurzeler is not liked within the changing room and that’s a FACT.

He’s fallen out with Danny Welbeck and Lewis Dunk over the treatment of Evan Ferguson and it’s caused a massive rift within the squad.

Im not going to disclose my source by I can assure you that everything is not at all rosy at the moment with a group of players making their feelings known to PB and TB.
Dunks body language is abysmal towards him waves him away.
If this is the case surely he’s on borrowed time.

Who knows the truth of this but what I’d like to know if it is is what exactly Fab has done to Evan? Not playing him? Playing him injured? Bullying?

I'd like to know too, but someone claimed to know on here that Evan wasn't happy with his treatment by RDZ. So why are two managers singling him out? Presumably that's why he wants out / a fresh start.

Lewis Dunk was SHIT today. So he can’t really wave anyone away after that. A few weeks ago some were saying bringing Dunk back for Igor was wrong, so FH clearly loves Dunk. So which is it?

Some people need to stop overrating our team, we’ve spent a load of money on attacking midfielders which have very little creative output. Not a single player we bought in the summer is anywhere near the levels of Gross or even Mac Allister.
Midfield is weak this season

I agree about Igor although he’s not going to drop the captain of the team.

With the investment I expect at least a top 10 finish and being closer to challenging for Europe and a good cup run which of course may still happen. Still a long way to go but, today's showing particularly 1st half was poor. We're nowhere near consistent with performances with the talent we have despite the injures. BTW I'm not Fab out or close to it but, I'm still not sure what his tactics and system are?
We may have spent a lot on young talent (that isn't ready yet) but don't forget we are still 4th bottom or something on net incomings / outgoings. In other words we've sold all our best players !! Midtable is about right. Maybe up to 8th/9th at a stretch.

I think Hurzeler has been given a tough task but our home form is shocking - down with the relegation candidates. Unfortunately for Hurzeler most fans only attend the home games and therefore he is getting flak. I do wonder what him , the players and backroom staff work on all week. To create nothing , apart from an early Lamptey ball across the face of the goal, all game is woeful.
We created lots but couldn’t finish. 16 shots but only one on target.

This whole thread is knee jerk imo. A new manager, with new players, inexperienced in the PL, and yet, we’ve only briefly been out of the top ten.

But we’ve also acquired a lot of players for £200M with not much experience and all very young. No one is really in the prime of their career. All from leagues a long way off the PL as well. This season was very much a bedding in season for me. The big risk is we lose Pedro and Baleba in the summer and back to square one

Did you actually sit through that game? Nothing knee jerk about suggesting it was a very laboured and clueless performance with zero urgency and intensity until we went a goal down. I go to be entertained, win, lose or draw, the most entertainment I got from that game was the handbags at full time

I still haven’t got a clue what the tactics are unless it’s to bore the opposition to death and only really go for it once players who should have started are brought on for the last 25 mins or so.

Expecting fans to create a raucous atmosphere when we play like we did before the penalty is pie in the sky, having said that I thought the atmosphere was reasonable given the performance on the pitch.

That 1st half had me bored to tears. I was shocked at how slow and lethargic we looked and even lack of confidence and ideas especially after 3 away wins and seemingly turning the corner(form wise). Commented on matchday thread that we looked like we thought we'd only have to turn up to win.
