I wasn’t defending them, I said it wasn’t good today. But that doesn’t change that some of comments are strangely exaggerated. Always the way.
Fair enough.
I just think in the same way celebrate a good performance, it's fine to feel frustrated after a match, particularly where the level of performance was so bad.
It's only human, long work weeks, looking forward to the footy, forking out lots of cash, and seeing such a lame performance. We all want the team to do well and come away happy, but it's OK to tell it how it is.
I've defended the like of Weiffer multiple times in here, where critism is uncalled for, but today was shocking. If you can't break a team down, at least have a pop from outside the box, make the keeper work.
I'm a bit old school, can't stand the theatrics we see in modern footy, perhaps that's half my issue. The enjoyment just wasn't there for me unfortunately, not helped be zero goal threat by what are highly paid top players .

And the prize for the biggest overreaction goes to....

(I'm very pissed off ftr, but jesus..)

All the way back to the Potter era, the club should offer away ST’s. Other than passing home game joy under RDZ, the away day travellers relatively speaking have seen so many famous wins. Whilst the Amex has witnessed a catalogue of low block disappointment.

Are there any nsc’ers who just do regular away games?

Sadly, we don't need to change the manager to experience this level of frustration!
We've been able to play this badly against a 10 man defence since GP days . . . . For the likes of Dunk, it's second nature, which I think is part of the problem.

Too slow and ponderous . . . .by the time they've gone sideways back and sodeways again there's 10 men behind the ball.

Oh for a diagonal crossfield pass

and to think, we thought Dale Stephens was frustrating.

Had a fabulous week 'on the road' feeling drained but delighted with 3 wins....full of positivity and enthusiasm this morning.

Nice lunch, a few drinks getting us pleasantly alight then subjected to that. No home win since November.

Still, onwards and upwards.

Not good today, but some of the reactions on here are so over the top. The previous 5 good results/performances to today are conveniently forgotten when it comes to all this negative analysis.
Not seen anything OTT but not read all the replies. That was dire and is going to (Rightly IMO) provoke a reaction as it's the 5th or 6th time at home where we have not been able to deal with a very poor team. Criticism isn't wrong if it's fair. I am glad I go to away games.

Done a Frexit, now in London
Just got home from the game.
everton did what i expected, waste time from the kick off and do what they can to get a penalty. Their game plan worked out.
penalty it’s self… if velts wasn’t pushed he wasn’t going down so it shouldn’t have been given.
sideways and backwards passing and trying to walk it in or float in high crosses will never work out against a shit anti footballing team.
on the odd occasion they were up the pitch and we won’t it back, it Was too slow walking it out wide allowing them to get set and defend for their lives.
all in all a bit shit. Var is ruining football and the officials are getting worse.

Pretty poor from start to finish really. Everton by a country mile the worse team I have seen at the Amex in many a year......but counts for nothing when we move the ball forward at the pace of a sloth and adopt the sideways tactics of a crab.
Think the players felt like they thought they would stroll past Everton today. Attitude was wrong for me

Finally, a positive post. I've seen it suggested that The Albion have been by far the poorest 🙏

Really? I’d say our players hitting the deck way too monotonously easy has been one of the things that has detracted from the ok-ish results this season. And it’s definitely got worse this season

I didn't see the Everton players hit the deck.

More a slow, relaxed squatting motion before eventually touching down on the freshly watered turf, often in synchronised tandem.

Welbeck was not suited to that sort of game today, that was obvious. A more nimble creative player was needed. That's the point.
Haven’t read the thread since pre kick off but imo the biggest problem was how we shot ourselves in the foot by a complete lack of intensity before the penalty. Once it was given Everton parked the bus and once again we proved to be totally useless at unlocking it.

I blame FH 100% for that result, sending a team out at home to play like we did until the penalty is unforgivable to me

The ref was shit and tolerated complete shitehousing but that is not why we lost

Oh and Pedro can f*** off flinging his arms in the air demanding support, give us something to get excited about before expecting great support
