I’ve said yes though the day and time is my least preferred match timing. It’s the sort of thing I could find myself saying at Sunday lunchtime ‘nah, I’m having a lovely Sunday, I’ll give it a swerve’.
I'd swerve the Amex on the Sunday as well.

I'm excited by it. Where's your tangible fug coming from?
Comments on here (there's a couple above), know a few people put off by the kick-off time who'd normally go above and beyond to get to a cup game. There's just not much buzz I'm seeing really.

I honestly think it'll creep up as the day gets closer. It usually does. Imagine turfing those twats out of the cup and marching into the fifth round. At a 90% drunk Amex under the lights.

Nope, stupid time for a game of football. Given my ticket away. Possibly won't even bother watching it on telly.
Albion have had a few 745 kick offs on Fridays for years - Glenn Murray scored in our first game of our promotion winning season i remember at one such kick off. And surely an evening kick off on a Saturday is more convenient for most than a 745 on a Tuesday or Wednesday where we've had such matches since at least the 70s.
Why is this that much different. ? Is it just that its 8pm not 745pm ? (aside from the understandable risk of pens/extra time - i get that) .

STH and fence – but leaning towards not going.

STH and going. The KO time is irritating but I fancy us against anyone at home. A chance to get rid of one of the usual suspects for the final out of the way.

on basis of playing Chelsea following week, 8pm KO with possibility of extra time and penalties will not be going. Not sure if it would have changed my mind but with possibility of late finish why not make it a 7-30 KO

But the bit in bold makes all the difference. What's the point in going if you are going to miss some of extra time or penalties to ensure that you can get home? A 7:45 KO means getting to the station at 9:45/10PM. An 8PM KO plus extra time and pens could mean getting to the station at 11PM.

Loads of reasons to not go, and fully understand people swerving this one.

I'll be there though.
Club have been sensible with ticket prices.
I'm not going to say no to a home game, for £25.

Just far enough away from LDC
I'm STH/Not, primarily because of the kick-off time, particularly given the possibility of extra-time and penalties.

But some of the enthusiasm from those replying that they are going has already given me a bit of FOMO, so I've gone from 100% not going to 90/10.

Let's see how things go between now and then...
I'm currently 70/30 not going. That may change by Thursday but having done 3 away games in a week and with my sons 18th coming up in Feb, money is a bit tighter

To balance me not attending, buying two for a mate and his daughter as STH guests (don't worry they are Albion fans)

Evening games are a ballache full stop and will be one of many contributing factors to me not renewing in a couple of years time. Means I won't get back until gone midnight, if we have extra time and pens will be even later. I've therefore got to find someone to have the dogs overnight which could be a pisstake seeing I'm going to have to do that for the league game the following week.

We are playing Chelsea, my section will be full of Chelsea. Chelsea and Arsenal are the two worst teams for not caring they are in the home end and the stewards do nothing. Again another reason I won't be renewing.

FA cup has very sadly gone to shit.

We are playing a team in our division that we are playing the following week.

Football has NEVER been played at 8pm on a Saturday. Don't see why we should start now.

We'll probably get beat.

I'm not really enjoying football at the moment.

In fact about the only positive reason I can think for going is it'll be nice to watch a game without VAR.
