Roughly 42 quid a game for myself and my lad in the East. Can't complain. The rules about listing tickets are also more than fair.

It always amazes me how many empty seats there are in the East where we sit. I do get the argument about lack of Saturday 15.00 causing issues - I'm especially pissed off at Chelsea moving to the Friday night - but equally you can bung that on the exchange or pass it on when you know. Too many people do neither.

They’re not trying to fix the issue. They’re hiding behind the guise of trying to fix the issue whilst going after people that have paid money for their product, without actually improving the system that would allow people to pass on tickets fairly and effectively to fill the stadium. It’s all about making money - which is fine, as they’re a business and run to make money, whatever supporters like to believe.
They’re not mutually exclusive 🙄

If the justification is that the club don’t want empty seats then just allow us to pass on the Ticket we have paid for to a friend for free or a minimal fee without them having to be a +member. Wouldn’t mind the £20 annual transfer fee on that basis.

Empty seats weren’t an issue when we had the old cards. Still feels like it is just another way of squeezing the supporter asset to generate extra income.

You've just reminded me the boy will no longer be U18 on this renewal cycle. Time to send him down a coal mine.
its quite a jump to get a comparable corner view you could end up paying roughly double for an adult and u18 to then paying presumably an adult and concession?

of course its to generate income thats the whole basis upon which the club operates they will tell you you get all this free stuff like entry to u23 games and no disrespect intended to our u23 but remind me what attendance they get?

Great suggestion. What about giving a name to these mates who pay a minimal fee? How about MyAlbion+ as the name? What you’re proposing is no different to the current system in effect. The club don’t want paying MyAlbion+ members squeezed out by non-paying people who happen to know ST holders.

From the NS and previously WSU, it’s always been noticeable about ESL. And when later watching highlights on TV. Unless it’s Liverpool or ManU, chunks of empty blue seats.

People (who say it’s not them) guess the school holidays excuse. Are all families away from home 13 weeks a year? Plus it doesn’t explain the swathes of empty seats any Saturday at 3pm any month.

Have a load of folk held onto their cherished ST‘s bought in 2011 or 2017, for half a dozen games a year? In a wealthy county, okay financially, so happy with the cost to achieve that. The Exchange too boring to bother with.

Last season, I sat in my actual seat the grand total of once. That's because there were always 2 spare next to my mates which I plonked myself in. They were never available to buy. If the rules are to flush that sort of ST holder out then that's no bad thing albeit I do have sympathy with those who go week in week out caught up in this by mistake, illness or whatever.

You are right, Liverpool is usually busier. With Liverpool fans

75% usage required..list by 2pm previous day so ill on the day with covid the club want fans to attend? Doubt many if any buy a ST to not use it. Why cant the club treat fans like adults. All rather punative
The club doesn't want fans. It wants adult customers who can afford to spend more money when attending matches.

Just like the thousands of customers who left The Amex after Palace scored their third goal earlier this season, while the true fans who follow their team through thick and thin stayed to the end of the match.

Both my kids are still U18 (just) so still just under £1k but only just. This season I've started cutting back a lot on what we buy in the ground as I am starting to notice it more. I buy the kids sweets etc form Tesco Express outside the station before the match now. It's why I find the 17.30 kick off such a pain, food costs for 2 x teenagers.
Similiar to this for me now. Eldest son now 18 so a big jump and as a student it’s a lot to expect him to pay but it is what it is and we will do it. We’ve really cut down on food and drink but the later kick offs make it more challenging.
Perhaps with the increase revenue they can reinstate a permanent third park and ride!
