Has already been pointed out in the match thread but sure looked like he was waving goodbye to the away support at FT. Presumably going out on loan as suggested.
Indeed he was, he’s definitely off somewhere, whether it be permanent or a loan deal

Naylor downplaying the Valencia talk

Yeah Valencia sounds unlikely. Wouldn't be able to pay all his wages and no chance of them paying up for him if he does well there, so would have (or want) to go with a new contract in that case.

Looks like a goodbye, but we'll have to wait and see to know for sure? Unless someone has said they know, I'm too lazy to check more than the last couple of pages.

(also as an aside, the video shows the little thug Martinez coming on the pitch after the final whistle to have a few choice words to Solly and it almost kicks off again)

So all that proves is RVN is a moron , look at their results with and without him , must be a personal conflict ?.
Has openly stated he doesn’t like using loan players as they aren’t permanent and to invest time in developing someone else’s talent is foolish.

As I would argue is not playing the best player in your squad at any given time.

I can never understand that kind of thinking , if you have just come up and have to bring in a lot of players some might be loans . The time to pick and choose is when your safe in the league , pride could come back and bite him in the rear , the Leicester fans seem to love the guy .

Yep, he's got one job this season: keep Leicester in the Premier League. The time to think about long-term development is in the summer when he's got a few months to implement his ideas.

I think it was a bad appointment by Leicester in the first place, especially seeing as Leicester had spent most of the season at that point outside of the bottom 3. RVN has a decent coaching record and could have a good career. He's not got the experience to go in and sort out a struggling team mid season though.

Some managers seem intent on creating their own problems. Postecoglu will not change his system despite not having the team available to play that style, same with Amorim, Arteta only signs defenders and defensive midfielders despite needing a striker, RVN won't play his best player because of his issue with loans, Russell Martin lost his job because he wouldn't adapt his system.

Somebody should tell these managers that having a system is great, but being too proud to adapt is problematic. Their first priority has to be winning games but, weirdly, it isn't

Didn't stop Kompany from getting the Bayern job after he stubbornly got Burnley relegated though did it. Perhaps they feel that if they stick to their guns it will be appreciated by enough people in football to get future employment. Plus there's the generous payouts from getting sacked which may mean they're not that worried about it if they do lose their jobs

Didn't Enciso wave goodbye at West Ham or another recent away game? It has definitely happened at least once since the start of December, possibly twice.

Might just be a man who wants to be the star of a show trying to get attention.
Looked like he was going to burst into tears at WH whilst waving at the crowd.

Wouldn't read too much into it.

I think that works when it's obvious that your team is out of it's depth, like Kompany and, to a lesser extent, Martin. If you're lucky and you have a brand as well-recognised as Kompany, or your club is enough of a shambles to escape with your reputation loosely intact (like ten Hag, who's inexplicably in line to replace Sahin at Dortmund).

Dogmatically sticking to a system and leading your team like some sort of philosophical commentary on "good football" against all results, performances and success metrics is one heck of a risk. One I'd be surprised the Leicester board take again if results continue to plummet.

Don't get the impression that the deal is just around the corner... might be new goodbye waves on Saturday.
He will leave though, think that much is clear by now.

I think the club really wants him to sign a new contract and go on loan rather than straight up sell him though, due to the giga-potential he has. But if Enciso & his agents can't be convinced, we'll take £35m-£40m. A great fee for a player who doesn't appear to be any better now than when he first arrived.

I'd be gutted if he's sold, I'd love to see some more of his potential realised in a Brighton shirt. Yes his stats aren't great, but he's box office and gets you out of your seat. I didn't fall in love with football because of efficient footballers who don't give the ball away or have brilliant positioning. I fell in love with it because of players who get you out of your seat and give you wow moments, the kind the likes of Ronaldinho, Zidane and Messi give you. And to a lesser extent the Enciso's, Mitoma's and Knockaert's of this world, these are the kind of players I love to watch and the more I see of them in a Brighton shirt the better
