@Han Solo has it spot on.
At the moment they are still in the group stage so the squads that were registered back in September will still apply. Once the group stage is over squads will be re-submitted for the knockout stages and (if the rules are the same as last season) clubs can add up to maximum of 3 new players while keeping within the other rules for the 25 man squads.

Think the club deserve a lot of credit for the way they've allowed Jakub to recover, taking the right amount of time to come back from that horrendous, near career-ending injury. Eased him back in with first team minutes, to build strength and confidence in his body again. Enough to be in the shop window and get a well deserved move. Other clubs would have discarded him with far less humility and respect I would think.
I was never a massive fan of Moder the football player, even in his pomp really (under Potter mainly) – just couldn't see what he brought to our game (certainly no magic I was aware of). But thrilled he's playing top flight football again and that he'll get an exciting fresh start. Good luck Jakub.

Can clubs change their squads again this season?
Yes, if they get through the league phase. Ahead of the knockout phase, clubs can register a maximum of three new players by 24:00 CET on 6 February 2025.Any or all of the players from the above quota of three may have been fielded for another club in the qualifying phase, play-offs or league phase of the Champions League, Europa League or Conference League.
The overall limit of 25 players on List A remains, though, along with the quota of eight locally-trained players.

To answer your actual question, Eric Dier or Christian Eriksen could fit that description. I also rate Fabian Schar but I reckon we need to sign a 20-something CB next rather than an old hand. I expect Dier is very happy at Bayern Munich, top of the Bundesliga and doing well in Europe.

It seems strange that if Moder is to be sold, and is no longer part of our plans, that he was used as a sub on Thursday.
Surely an U21 should be brought in or are none of them ready?

Keeps his value up as well I suppose? But with Weiffer and Hinsh nearly back his chances will be even more limited going forward

Moder has been in and around the squad all season under FH. He knows the tactics and teammates intimately. Why risk an U21 who might make a balls up?
And then the people negotiating his transfer have a much better pitch and can utter this sort of thing to the Feyenoordian dealers:
‘he played in our last game, we don’t have to sell him to you at that price, we want more.’

Gave him a chance for a send off, IMO.
Players on the way out are banished to outer darkness only if they act like Rashford.
He's our player so we can play him if we want.
Bit gutted, I thought we saw glimpses of great potential there but the injury wiped him out when he was probably on the cusp of reaching this. The other midfielders he was vying with at the time gave him such limited opportunities too, it was always going to be a struggle.

He was very unlikely to become a first choice in midfield again but I thought he was worth trying out at FB post-injury. Anyhow, glad it's working out well for him. Feyenoord is an enlightened club and a much better destination than Leicester would have been.
Karbownik, Koslowski and Moder all looked like great signings at the time.
Young Polish internationals who were highly rated and we got them for modest money.
Polish friends of mine were raving about it.
It is really disappointing and surprising it hasn’t worked out for any of them.

Happy for him to get another chance somewhere else. Too far down the pecking order here to get the minutes he needs. & if the £3.5m The Argus thinks we're getting is true then seems sensible for us to accept.

Weird comment and rather childishly competitive.
Forgive me but I don’t read through hundreds of posts on numerous threads before posting a link to info to make sure it hasn’t already been mentioned on another thread - if information about something is relevant to more than one thread, then so what if it’s repeated more than once. NSC would be impossible to use if you imposed a condition on people to make sure there had been no posts in any other thread mentioning the same web link before they mentioned it or barred them from referencing other threads!
