They have reduced their wage structure, but still (apparently) have an average wage of about £90k, so their average wage is higher than our highest paid player, Kadioglu on £87k.

Adarabioyo is supposedly on £120k. That said, take these numbers with a pinch of salt. Wage sources are notoriously sketchy.
You state these figures as facts. How do you know or is it pure internet bs

The internet is full of speculative bollocks relating to the wages of individual players presented as fact. Remember when it was reported that Caicedo was on £3K a week?

I would be stunned if even the madhouse that is Chelsea put Tosin on £120k a week. He'd have got a whopper of a signing on bonus (possibly installments and performance related) and I reckon he's then on about half that weekly wage.

I can see more of this happening with PSR - player goes for £0 transfer fee - 'big' club takes a risk knowing if it isn't wonderful then they can sell and the fee becomes 100% profit on the books. Say Chelsea gave him a £5m golden hello, then sell him 6 months later for £15m and pay him another £5m to terminate early. Still happy days.

I do wonder if at some point football goes the way of the US sports and there is no transfer fee. I'm sure US owners would love that, it would be the final copper nail in the pyramid but like they'd care.

Did I? Pretty sure I was fairly clear: "That said, take these numbers with a pinch of salt. Wage sources are notoriously sketchy."
You posted £87k which appears somewhat exacting. The pinch of salt is enough to de-ice all the roads in England.

Tweet has been deleted - what did it say?

Interesting that the journalist has deleted it!

Something along the lines of: Tosin Adarabioyo wants to stay at Chelsea and fight for his place, even if Brighton interest advances.

Deemed very unlikely he leaves in Jan. But always a chance Chelsea get heavy-handed due to PSR incentives.

I must admit when he was at Fulham, every time I happened to catch one of their games when he was playing he seemed to have at least one ricket in him.
This. He was a bit better towards the end, but was always a bit exposed without Palhinha in front of him. Having been at Citeh previously, he always thought he was too good for Fulham. The move across SW6 was no surprise. Expect no loyalty because he'llbelooking for his next move, but he can do a job as a RB.

This just smacks of another Chelsea FFP ruse. Sign a player you don't really want on a long-ish deal for free in the summer, then flip hem on for an overpriced fee in any of the following windows.

See also. Lloyd Kelly at Newcastle.
