On the bench again tonight. He seems to have gone from being their best player under Steve Cooper to not being rated by RVN. Strange.
Might be something to do with him being unavailable for RVNs second game in charge against us, where he liked what he saw from the rest. Buonnanotte hasn't started since. Could just be a case of unfortunate timing. They have lost every game though.

Nice. How much did you win?

I know there were quite a few winners on that bet, but I had assumed that they were all Leicester fans putting a couple of quid on every season for the blind-faith LOLs.
I think it was 42p.. I won £600 plus .

I also put it to win only thinking #%^£ or bust.. having put 4 x £23 on Ulloa the year before.. 23 was his number lol

I watched the Leicester match today and I'm starting to think that I haven't seen maturity like that from such a young player since AliMac. I can't help but think one of the reasons he has been loaned out, is because he is very strong, stable and mature mentally, doesn't get over excited and can walk straight into a premier league squad and start performing without the support some of our other youngsters may need.

At 20 years old, I'm thinking we may have someone very special

There’s a reason we extended his contract when loaned. Very much part of future plans I’d say.

I must have written pages on this thread in 2022/23 saying what a raw talent and great signing he was and defending him to his many detractors saying he was further advanced than AliMac was at the same age (17) - I consistently argued that sticking him on the right wing was not show-casing his potential - I suspect Facu did too but RDZ needed cover for March‘s earlier injury hamstring in May 2023 and again from October 2023.. The few times RDZ played him in CAM he assisted or scored and looked like the young player who used to carve long runs through the CMF at Rosario and was making a name for himself in Argentina. After the Europas, he barely got a start and tailed right off during the 2023/24 sitting in the players box looking sullen and depressed - I suspect because he wasn’t getting on very well with RDZs style of management. Unfortunately that didn’t help when it came to 2024/25 and Hürzeler began constructing his squad with new signings partly based on how players had performed in 2023/24 - He wasn’t going to get the match time here that was obvious .

It is not surprising that Rosario fans were furious when RC sold him to us or why the manager (unhelpfully!) hailed him as the new ‘Messi’.

Let’s hope he won’t be snapped up by a big club at the end of the season like Liverpool or City.

Now lets find a loan position for Ferguson that gives him the same development opportunity.

I watched it too. He was far better than Enciso was for us on Friday.

I agree, but also don't think knocking down Enciso is fair or necessary.

That was Enciso's first proper minutes this season, following a long time out from the team.

Buenonotte has had a lot of minutes for Leicester already this season. But he's looks a great talent at his age.

We should be excited to have both in our squad next season.

Back in the starting lineup and back on the scoresheet yesterday. I think/hope he's going to be a big part of the Albion squad next season.

I am still gutted that we loaned him out, he would definitely have offered us something different and would have got plenty of game time here given the injuries this season. Hindsight is a great thing I accept but pre loan I was really looking forward to seeing how he’d kick on this season. I have been a fan since day one

Likewise. Although he got pelters from some on here for being lightweight I like him and thought he'd push on from last season and he certainly has a few goals in him remembering a couple of beauties in games last season.

I see it completely the other way. The experience his is getting is invaluable, he would barely have played had he been here. Look at Enciso, grabbing a few minutes here and there. Buonanotte in contrast is now into double digits for goals and assists this season.

I may be wrong, but I disagree. He's progressing more at Leicester due to more game time than we could give him. It's not an area of the pitch we're struggling with IMO, and if he was here we'd have other players losing minutes too.

I was really pleased with Fab's line-up yesterday. Not just because it was important to progress, but as Fab said, it's important for our players to get used to playing together. That would be harder if we had another player at a similar level competing for game time.
