Getting the ball first is not a get out of jail card. It’s a foul regardless if the tackle is careless or reckless.
I blame the ‘experts’ with their “he got a touch on the ball” bollocks…
No because it would be a free kick not a penalty.
So, what’s the difference?*

*without stating the bleeding obvious…

Never a penalty.
But f*** off Arteta.

This might be the first time we have been given a home team decision against a big 6 club.

Funny.

I didn't see the touch Saliba got. I'm guessing Taylor didn't either. That brings it into head clash territory. I'm not sure how it works then. But I would argue it probably isn't a penalty.

I agree that you're not sure how it works. If one player headbutts another, how is that just a clash of heads? When one player kicks another, we don't call it a clash of legs.

It would be a clash of heads if they were equally to blame, but Pedro clearly wins the ball and then gets butted. Maybe it was a 50/50 decision, but I don't see how it was a dreadful decision.

Not arsed. Its arsenal isn't it. They'll get a ton of dodgy decisions against smaller teams and be smug pricks about it. So f*ck them and f*ck their mothers.

I thought it was soft, and had it been given against us I'd have been frustrated.....but it wasn't so I'm not.

The McAllister penalty against Man Utd?

With the rules at the time, that was a clear penalty. This one may be more 50/50.

I actually don't give a damn. Decisions go for and against. We absolutely deserved to get something out of that game. Arsenal were shocking with their time wasting and play acting once their fans were singing one nil to the Arsenal  Arteta is an entitled twat and In love it when he thinks a decisions hasn't gone there way. Penalty given by Taylor (who wasn't giving us much in the first half) and confirmed by VAR. And a great pen by Pedro it was.

Put it this way: if a defender kicks an opponents leg inside their box, it's a penalty. If that defender had slightly glanced the ball before contact, would that stop it being a penalty? No.

So why would this be different?
