Brighton forward Danny Welbeck remains out with the ankle injury that has sidelined him for the Seagulls' last four matches while Evan Ferguson has not yet recovered from a foot injury.
Adam Webster is available after a thigh problem and Jack Hinshelwood is also in contention to feature but Pervis Estupiñán will be assessed following illness and new signing Diego Gómez is still gaining match fitness.
Arsenal top scorer Kai Havertz is expected to return to the matchday squad after missing the win over Brentford due to illness.
Jurrien Timber serves a one-match ban, while Raheem Sterling, Bukayo Saka, Ben White and Takehiro Tomiyasu remain out.
