Likewise too ashamed to post my current weight, but will hopefully post some loss numbers as the month progresses.
Nice one @Brian Fantana - we're all behind you.

And whether you post your weight or not, don't be ashamed. Shame is not a helpful emotion that will serve you here. How might you reframe that?

How about this, you're way heavier than you want to be but you’ve noticed that and are determined to do something about it. You could feel optimistic, focused and energised by the opportunity to drop a few pounds, supported by a flabby, rag- tag bunch of fellow Albion fans.

Found walking more makes a surprisingly big impact as well, even if can’t be bothered with anything more vigorous a walk every day starts to add up

Very much agree with this.

You burn calories and avoid boredom which usually results in snacking.

I think walking, even just ambling, really helps your digestion, which has to be a good thing when trying to drop the pounds.

Appreciate this, thanks!

I've got myself set up with My Fitness Pal, done the tricky bit of entering all of the info etc but I'm feeling positive about it.

Decent calorie total per day, which I can definitely stick to.

I'm in...Good luck mate...

I keto for around 4 months after Jan 1st and drop from around 110kg to around 85-90 kg...

Need to be more disciplined coming off it as yoyo too much which I guess isn't good for the body but will try to keep it off this time
how does that affect your cholestrol or do you not look?

Simple tip I read recently. Have your final drink and evening meal before 7pm, then clean your teeth to draw a line under eating and drinking for the day. If you can, take a twenty to thirty minute walk afterwards to aid digestion and reduce sitting time in the evening.

Cutting out evening snacks definitely helped me in November.

I agree. Once you tell people you are trying to lose weight, it becomes very motivating but only if they can actually see you are losing weight, otherwise in my experience its just a promise o yourself that can be too easily broken.

So in the spirit of the thread and continuing to feel a little embarrassed that my weight is one of the worst on here by a long way, I’ll keep posting because I have found the response to my efforts really supportive and encouraging - so much so that it is actually helping me lose weight so thank you!

Creeping up but still several kilos under my pre Christmas weight

I've put on about 6lbs in December...mainly around my belly, down to festive beer, crisps, chocolate and takeaways, so looking to lose this and a bit more.
12st 3lbs this morning...will be aiming for healthier choices and getting out doing more walking.
