My Mrs loves it so I've seen far more than I'd like, and I honestly think it's a massive pile of shit and not funny in the slightest.
This will annoy a fair few, but I also cannot stand only fools and horses either, another overrated and unfunny program.
Jesus, you must be hard work on a night out

Why? Because what I find funny differs from others? It's almost like the world of full of people who are like different things. Who knew?

Gavin and Stacey is the televisual equivalent of a pint of Carling in a pub or a chicken Tikka Massala in an Indian Restaurant.

It’s comedic value is that if the wittiest joke in a box of Aldi Christmas crackers.
yep. it knows its audience . Feeds its audience. And laughs all the way to the bank.
Maccas telly.

This is one of those opinions most would think but not share, let alone on a public forum and a thread specifically about the thing they are being snobby about.

I guess the username thing gives the necessary anonymity.

Still weird though 😂

What on TV makes you laugh?
Young ones, faulty towers, Blackadder, stand ups like Mickey Flanagan, Ricky Gervais, Greg Davies, Inbetweeners, family guy, probably a lot more but don't really watch too much TV anymore to be honest.

Just caught up with it.

I think they did it very well indeed and I really enjoyed it having watched it through the years.

Just playing to the strengths of the characters and using a similar plot to previous ones was exactly what was needed and they smashed it out the park.

Oh, and it is like a curry and a pint of lager. Something I thoroughly enjoy every so often (like G&S).

Money is probably the answer to your second sentence.

I've witnessed JC's behaviour first hand on a flight to London from Johannesburg. He was just so unbelievably rude to passengers and crew. The woman he was with, who I presume was his wife, was essentially just apologising for him for a lot of the flight.
Few of us in a pub after a xc race in SW London and got talking to an Estate Agent. Said he had dealings with JC and that he was indeed a complete arse.

I agree. I absolutely loved it. People need to understand that the episode isn't made for people who jump in now, or flit in and out.

I suspect that if you were in on the ground floor like I was in 2007, this episode was made for you and the other 12.5m who watched it.
