[Albion] Are we just a bit…

Form is a bit that, players are decent though. Manager is the big question mark

Meh, don't think so. We were shit against Palace, but in all the other disappointing results, if you were asked to choose which side to support purely based on the two performances, you would pick Brighton time and again, surely?

I don't think we would call Brentford shit, but we'd be far more disappointed if we had turned in their performance. Yet the Brentford fans seem very pleased. Not sure what to make about that to be honest.

Throughout a season there are good times and there are bad times. Sometimes you get lucky like the penalty overturned at Everton and the offside goal Manchester United scored against us. Sometimes we are unlucky as we have been lately. And luck affects the confidence of the team. When it’s good we all feel good and when it’s bad we feel bad. But at the end of the day it is sport and a sport we love.
we are still in the top half of the premier league.

Agree.

We’re not shit.

Just, disappointing.

Brentford reserve ‘keeper comes on last night, part way through the first half. Has he even played any PL minutes this season prior to yesterday? And we don’t even properly test him for the remainder of the game. (Unless the plan was to give him neck ache watching balls sail over his crossbar).

That is very poor and hugely disappointing. Got what we (just about) deserved.

We were good enough at the start of the season when we had Veltman, Welbeck and (briefly) Milner to help Fab and the new kids. Without all three we’re a clueless ball of inexperience, an under 21 team, save for Dunk who’s going backwards every game.

No coincidence that we kept a clean sheet with Veltman in. No coincidence that we looked toothless without Welbz. And the coach doesn’t have the nous or experience to get round it.

It’ll be ok next season but of course we’ll sell any that actually come good in the meantime.

Woeful shooting, is that why we are reluctant to do so? Corners are shit, never look dangerous with them. Crosses into box are poor and always when opposing defenders set. We never put opposition defenders under pressure facing their own goal. Something that every team does to us?? All a bit naive and smacks of inexperience.

Yes. It’s not terminal, players can improve, manager can improve, results will get better. We are a bit shit just now though.

But apart from that, fine?

There was a point in the first half where we had the ball at Barts feet and 8 one.touch passes later we were a bad Enciso finish away from a perfect team goal from front to back.

It reminded me we used to do that every week and now it's one in every 6 games.

A lot of players guilty of too many touches. Pedro and Gruda in particular. Whatever they work on in coaching doesn't seem to translate to much on the pitch.

Southampton played us off the park in the 2nd half and were desperately unlucky to not win.

The concern is that we are visibly going backwards. The team was looking good at the start of the season and now look a shadow of that the early season form. The issue is with the coach. Are the players a bit shit………don’t think so but really not too sure the coach isn’t!

If ever there was a post for renewed optimism this is it. I’m now completely confident Fab is going to turn this blip in form around.

How do you come to that conclusion when last night we had 28 shots or whatever and none troubled the keeper. That’s poor skill / mentality from the players
