There was once an Albion manager, highly cerebral with a degree, who made a very big thing of a few dozen people briefly booing. It’s not just evil football writers.
Yes, that's true enough.

I can only put my oversight down to a lack of emotional intelligence this evening.

There was a brief smattering of boos but it was surely just disappointment with the result rather than any meaningful statement about the team or the coach. We all had a frustrating evening, and people were pissed off. Tomorrow’s another day.

What stand were you in? In the NS last 20 minutes I’d say there was increasing anger with players skying to row z, or not shooting at all, dithering and setting Brentford away. It really was a big thing, I haven’t seen that for years …. Hughton’s final home games? The booing was probably the same folk, signing off for the night.

Bad fan maybe but one boo from me when Bart for the fourth time put his foot on the ball and seemed to have no clue as to what to do next. He missed numerous opportunities to get the ball forward when we 3 on 3 with chance of a break. Might not have come to anything but you don't score with the ball in your own half ...

Steele (the nsc punchbag) was simply brilliant with his distribution. Are there stats for assists for assists? :D

He had 2 assists for assists in 22/23.
Jason is really good with his feet and really good at short/mid-range passes but his long passing isn't remarkable.

Other than you, they’ve all ran for trains by then. ESU and ESL every game for years is noticeably the first with huge gaps from 75 minutes. The age old excuse is “my kids have school the next day”.
I can only speak for the sections I can see clearly over in EU (E,F,G) but you get a very small number leaving before 85. For an evening match, especially one as frustrating as tonight, slightly more. You do get a few more leaving as 90 approaches but not enough to create "huge gaps". That’s hyperbole. Might be different in the lower tier, where more families sit, and at the N end of the ES. I can’t really see them from where I sit.

The best was against Brentford, funnily enough, when Mitoma brought the ball down and lobbed it over their goalie. That pulsating 3-3 was such a long way from tonight's frustrating affair. Both sides had more than 20 shots each on target that afternoon.

Yes quite a few boos all round ok was frustrating game, we need 30 shots to score 1 goal, but it wasnt that bad in sofar as the boos surprised me.
Look at the team we have and the position we're in.
No one can play 100%, all of the time!
The team and coaching staff know the situation better than anyone and won't be happy with that result tonight.

Let's stick together and continue the support that has got us this far. Too many ex-arsenal/man united/spurs fans in the seats if they think it's worthy of booing the team off tonight.

I was at the Leeds game and just about heard a few boos. I was watching last night with commentary turned off and I was surprised at just how loud the booing on the full time whistle sounded on the TV. Not for long, but was loud.

let’s not forget, football is basically panto.. we have our heroes and our villains.. and like a panto, it’s ok to boo occasionally. It’s really not the end of the world

It's a known issue from day one of the Amex... night games are a bun fight of transport struggles for a lot of folk, so off they go....I can't really blame them, especially if they are trailing kids along with them.

Don’t sing or encourage through the game but boo at the end. Classic Amex. Crowd gave the players who are in a difficult moment very little encouragement. 12th man - no chance.

I didn’t boo the players, but I did boo the large groups of perfectly able people walking down the disabled line when queuing for the train to Lewes.

At one point, there was a group of 20 of them, with not a walking stick, a chair or an old person in sight.

It was all very panto.
